Although diabase paving and nummulitic limestone walls have been discovered, the site remains unexcavated. The valley temple was originally linked to a causeway, which was mostly destroyed during the village’s development.

Khafre’s Pyramid - Khafre’s pyramid complex features a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple is notable for yielding several statues of Khafre, some of which were discovered in a well on the temple floor by Mariette in 1860.

Pyramid of Menkaure - Menkaure’s pyramid complex comprises a valley temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple once housed several statues of Menkaure. During the 5th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added to the valley temple.
