Begin a full-day tour visiting the renowned Pyramids of Egypt, known as the Giza Pyramids, where you can see the Great Pyramid of King Cheops. Enjoy a 20-minute camel ride and delve into history. Our guide will then take you to a panoramic spot where all the pyramids can be viewed together. Next, visit the Valley Temple or Mummification Temple, where King Chephren’s body was mummified. • Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu) - Khufu’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, now buried beneath the village of Nazlet el-Samman. Diabase paving and nummulitic limestone walls have been discovered, but the site remains unexcavated.
• Pyramid of Menkaure - Menkaure’s pyramid complex features a valley temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple once housed several statues of Menkaure. During the 5th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added to the valley temple.
• Khafre’s Pyramid - Khafre’s pyramid complex comprises a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple revealed several statues of Khafre, discovered in a well in the temple floor by Mariette in 1860.
• Great Sphinx - The Sphinx dates back to the reign of King Khafre. During the New Kingdom, Amenhotep II dedicated a new temple to Hauron-Haremakhet, which was expanded by later rulers.
• The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities - Travel from the Giza pyramids to Cairo City Center to visit the Egyptian Museum, one of the largest museums in the world. It houses a vast collection of real statues and the treasures of King Tutankhamun. The tour concludes with a drop-off at the guest’s hotel in Cairo or Giza.
