• Pyramids of Giza - The tour begins at 8:00 am with a pickup from the customer’s hotel in Cairo or Giza by our tour guide. The full-day tour of Giza includes a visit to the Giza Pyramids, where you will explore the Great Pyramids of Giza - Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos. The tour also includes a visit to the Valley Temple, the site where priests mummified the body of King Chephren, the owner of the second pyramid at the Giza Plateau. This is also where you can get a close-up view of the Sphinx, the legendary guardian with a lion’s body and the head of King Chephren, standing by the grand funeral complex. (2.30 hours spent)
• Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu) - Khufu’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, currently buried beneath the village of Nazlet el-Samman. Diabase paving and nummulitic limestone walls have been discovered, although the site remains unexcavated.
• Khafre’s Pyramid - Khafre’s pyramid complex features a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple revealed several statues of Khafre, some of which were discovered in a well on the temple floor by Mariette in 1860.
• Pyramid of Menkaure - Menkaure’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple once housed several statues of Menkaure. During the 5th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added to the valley temple.
• Great Sphinx - Here, you will also have the opportunity to see the Sphinx up close. This legendary guardian, with a lion’s body and the head of King Chephren, stands by the vast funeral complex.
