• Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu) - Khufu’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, now beneath the village of Nazlet el-Samman. Although diabase paving and nummulitic limestone walls have been discovered, the site remains unexcavated.
• Khafre’s Pyramid - Khafre’s pyramid complex features a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple revealed several statues of Khafre, discovered in a well by Mariette in 1860.
• Menkaure Pyramid - Menkaure’s pyramid complex comprises a valley temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple once housed several statues of Menkaure. During the 5th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added to the valley temple. The mortuary temple also contained several statues of Menkaure.
• Great Sphinx - The Sphinx dates back to King Khafre’s reign. During the New Kingdom, Amenhotep II dedicated a new temple to Hauron-Haremakhet, which was expanded by later rulers.
• Memphis and Sakkara - Memphis City, the ancient capital of Egypt, is home to the colossal statue of Ramses II and the great Alabaster Sphinx. This city dates back to 3100 B.C.
• Saqqara (Sakkara) Pyramids - Located 27 km southwest of Cairo, Sakkara is home to the Step Pyramid, built for King Zoser. It marks a significant step in the evolution of pyramid construction, transitioning from simple mastabas to the well-known pyramid form.
• Pyramid of Unas - The Pyramid of Unas, built in the 24th century BC for Pharaoh Unas, is the smallest Old Kingdom pyramid. It is notable for the Pyramid Texts, spells for the king’s afterlife, inscribed on its subterranean chamber walls. This tradition of funerary texts began with Unas’s pyramid and continued through the Old and Middle Kingdoms, forming the basis of the Book of the Dead.
