The Giza pyramid complex, also known as the Giza necropolis, in Egypt is the site of the Great Pyramid, the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Pyramid of Menkaure, along with their associated pyramid complexes and the Great Sphinx. These were constructed during the Fourth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom of ancient Egypt, around 2600 to 2500 BC. The area also features several temples, cemeteries, and remnants of a workers’ village.

• Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu) - Khufu’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, currently buried beneath the village of Nazlet el-Samman. Diabase paving and nummulitic limestone walls have been discovered, though the site remains unexcavated.
• Khafre’s Pyramid - Khafre’s pyramid complex features a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple revealed several statues of Khafre, some of which were discovered in a well in the temple floor by Mariette in 1860.
• Pyramid of Menkaure - Menkaure’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple once housed several statues of Menkaure. During the 5th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added to the valley temple.
• Great Sphinx - Here, you will have an up-close view of The Sphinx, the legendary guardian with a lion’s body and the head of King Chephren, standing by the grand funeral complex.
