Banyumala Twin Waterfalls - Banyumala Waterfall is one of Bali’s hidden gems. The walk from the car park takes about 15 minutes, and the effort is well worth it. The trail consists mainly of earthen stairs, often accompanied by a bamboo pole for support. While it’s manageable in dry conditions, it can get slippery when wet, especially if you’re in flip-flops. Despite this, the natural, rarely-trekked path is a rewarding experience. Beyond the waterfall, you’ll find a water curtain cascading down a wall of lush rocks, making it a perfect spot for a refreshing swim on a hot day. The falls are accessible year-round, so you can visit anytime you’re in Bali.

Buyan Lake - Lake Buyan and Lake Tamblingan, separated by a rainforest-covered hill about a kilometer wide, are connected by a narrow canal leading to a community pool called Telaga Aya. Known as the Twin Lakes, this area offers a stunning view of Bali’s volcanic landscape. The island’s volcanoes have shaped its terrain, creating cones, lakes, and fertile soil that supports lush forests. Lake Buyan is one of three lakes formed in a large caldera, flanked by Lake Tamblingan to the west and Lake Bratan to the east.
