A cultural experience not to be missed. - An essential tour for any visitors to this area. Our guide Waszanna was passionate about teaching us the stories of the Taribelang Bunda people pre and post European settlement. Everything from dreaming stories, natural medicines and sacred sites for men and women was covered. Along with a potted history of the town and agricultural in the region. The small group made interactions easy.

Must Do Experience in Bundaberg!! - A Must do experience for anyone visiting (or living in) Bundaberg. My Guide Waszie delivered for me an experience that has impacted me greatly. Her gentle interpretation effortlessly moved between the region's contemporary history and development, the role South Sea Islanders played in the region's story as slaves, forced into working in the sugar cane industry, and of course at the center of everything in this place, the Taribelang-Bunda people. An incredible story of innovation, resilience and ultimately survival and hope. A truly extraordinary experience.

Get to know the real story of the land - Our family were three out of a group five joining the Taribelang Bunda Cultural Tour. It was easily the best experience we had in Bundaberg. Shout out to David who was an excellent guide. We learned from him that modern Bundaberg is actually built on a swamp that provided a lot of the necessities for the Bunda people - Eucalyptus bark for fires and for building shelters while leaves were used for medicine. We heard their Dreamtime stories about the Hummock which was called Flaming Hill. There were also bonus spooky stories about David and his family members encountering ancestral spirits guarding sacred locations Absolutely 💯 recommended.

Bundaberg History - An excellent tour. David gave excellent commentary on the history of Bundaberg from all perspectives. He was relaxed and answered all our questions. The damper and jam was a delicious morning tea. Highly recommend this tour as an introduction to Bundaberg and the surrounding areas.

A must do experience - An incredibly meaningful and educational experience right here in our own backyard. We were guided for the morning by Wazza, whose storytelling, knowledge and connection to Country made the tour very earthy, grounding and deeply insightful into the history and cultural knowledge of our region. A huge thank you to Wazza and the entire Taribelang Bunda team for sharing culture, language and stories in such a respectful and engaging way. An absolute must-do for locals and visitors around Bundy. 🙏✨

Fantastic - An awesome tour! You don’t just see all of Bundaberg, you also learn a ton of fascinating history and stories. The tour moves through sad parts as well as fun, interactive bits. You get to try bush tucker food, handle traditional tools, and really take part in the experience. The guides are incredibly friendly and genuinely care about sharing these stories. I recommend this tour to anyone visiting Bundaberg.

Amazing and informative - A powerful professional learning experience As an early childhood teacher, attending the Taribelang Bunda Cultural Tour was an incredibly valuable and transformative experience. The guides shared their cultural knowledge with such warmth, pride and authenticity, and I gained a deeper understanding of the history, language, stories and rich traditions of the Taribelang Bunda people. This learning has strengthened my confidence and commitment to respectfully embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into my daily practice and curriculum. The experience reminded me of the importance of teaching children about Country, culture and community through genuine, meaningful experiences, while honouring and acknowledging the Traditional Custodians of the land. I highly recommend this tour for all educators seeking to expand their cultural understanding and build more inclusive, respectful and culturally responsive practices. Truly inspiring and deeply appreciated.

Cultural Tour Time - It was different, difficult to find the location, and a bit unorganized but I loved the tour! The information, hands on experience, and being on key sites was powerful. You travel to different locations, hear real stories, and have a short break with provided snacks. We also received a keepsake- again loved the down to earth experience.
