My Unforgettable Tokyo Kimono & Cultural Journey with Sayoko - If you're even considering a kimono experience in Tokyo, I implore you: book this specific experience with Sayoko! This was hands down one of the absolute best parts of my trip. The photos are amazing, truly a highlight I'll cherish forever. I honestly just thought I was going to get a few pictures taken in a kimono, but it was so much more than that—it was a profound learning experience. Our host, Sayoko, was incredibly sweet and helpful from the moment I arrived, guiding me through everything and letting me review my own pictures to ensure I loved them, allowing for retakes if needed. We took our beautiful kimono pictures at a serene, non-touristy shrine. Unlike the more crowded famous spots, this shrine offered a truly peaceful atmosphere. Here, Sayoko brought the culture to life. She shared the entire background of the shrine and its significance in Japan. More importantly, she patiently showed us how to properly and respectfully visit a shrine in Japan, explaining the cultural practices and their meanings, even down to how to say a prayer. I learned so much that I wasn't expecting, gaining a profound appreciation for Japanese traditions. After the shoot, I realized this quiet neighborhood was exactly what I had been searching for! It was far from the tourist crowds, offering an authentic, local flavor of Japan. I spent time exploring and found some amazing local shops selling unique t-shirts, jewelry, and delicious food that I would have never discovered otherwise. It was truly worth every penny and offered so much more than just beautiful photos.

Family Kimono Fun! - Sayoko was amazing and gave us a special memorable kimono experience. She was so nice and sweet, helped our family of four get dressed and we had a fantastic time. She took well over 100 photos that were easily AirDropped to my iPhone. I can’t wait to look back on these photos for memories to last a lifetime. Highly recommend!

A Great Introduction to Japanese Culture - I went on this tour with my dad and his wife. We had a fun and educational time with Sayoka. Being to Japan before, I planned it as an introduction to Japanese culture and shrine history for my dad and his wife and it achieve my goals in doing that. The temple we went to was small and serene. The town was older and more low-key. Those things allowed for a more immersive experience, in my view. Sayoko was, also, very nice and attentive. She does everything she can to make the trip enjoyable and comfortable. The one thing I'd suggest for people to consider is wearing their own shoes on the tour if they think the sandals are going to hurt their toes. They bothered my dad a little bit. All in all, a fun and worthwhile time. And the photos are amazing!

Unforgettable Experience - An unforgettable experience that we recommend to everyone. Dressing in kimono with Sayoko was much more than a photo shoot: it was a deep and beautiful immersion in Japanese culture. From the very beginning, Sayoko guided us carefully and enthusiastically, explaining the meaning of each garment, each accessory and the Shinto rituals she shared with us during the visit to the shrine. She took more than 200 beautiful photos that we received instantly, and also offered me hair and makeup, which made the result even more spectacular. The reportage, the kimonos, the details, their dedication, their passion and their joy made it one of the most special experiences we live in Japan. Thank you very much, Sayoko, for sharing with such affection the beauty of your culture. Hopefully many more people will discover your wonderful work. You deserve all the best! 💖💖💖

Best Experience - My fiancée and I had such a lovely time doing this! Sayoko was very attentive and quick to respond to any questions we had. I decided to pay for the hair, makeup, and photos. It was totally worth it. I felt so pretty, and my fiancée looked handsome. The walk to the shrine felt nice since you walk through the neighborhood. Sayoko taught me to walk elegantly and how to go over a stair step in my kimono. Sayoko even taught us the appropriate etiquette of visiting a shrine and to pray. I highly recommend booking this experience. You get to learn and embrace Japanese culture.

Great experience! Highly recommended! - I absolutely loved this experience! Ms. Sayoko made the whole process so smooth and enjoyable. I also booked a hair and make up and the hair stylist-make up artist did a wonderful job making me look great! Highly recommend the make up and hair for those who don't really know how to do it like myself. The pictures look so beautiful. Ms. Sayoko also gave a tour of the shrine that also served as the photoshoot background. The kimono+accessories Ms. Sayoko provided were really beautiful and she dressed me so nicely. I can't recommend this activity enough! I would love to come back to do this for cherry blossom season!
