- Ballintoy Harbour - Ballintoy is a notable filming location for the renowned Game of Thrones television series.
- Dunluce Castle - Dunluce Castle (from Irish: Dún Libhse) is a medieval castle now in ruins, located in Northern Ireland. Situated on a basalt outcropping in County Antrim, between Portballintrae and Portrush, it is accessible via a bridge to the mainland. The castle is surrounded by steep drops on either side, which likely attracted early Christians and Vikings to this site, where an ancient Irish fort once stood. Visitors can stop to admire this stunning ruined castle and capture memorable photos.
- The Dark Hedges - The Dark Hedges is a picturesque avenue of beech trees along Bregagh Road, between Armoy and Stranocum in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. This atmospheric tunnel has been featured in HBO’s popular television series Game of Thrones, making it a popular tourist attraction.
- Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge - The cost to cross the bridge is £9 per adult or £4.50 per child.
THERE IS NO OBLIGATION TO CROSS THE BRIDGE IF YOU PREFER NOT TO; YOU CAN SIMPLY VISIT THE AREA AND ENJOY THE SCENIC BEAUTY AND PLEASANT WALK. (TOUR CUSTOMIZATION IS AVAILABLE TO SUIT YOUR PERSONAL PREFERENCES)
The Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge was initially constructed by salmon fishermen in 1755. Follow the coastal path over windswept grasslands and winding rocky trails to the Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge. Crossing the bridge offers a bird’s-eye view of the clear green waters and ancient caverns below – if you dare to look down!
Carrick-a-Rede, derived from the Scottish Gaelic ‘Carraig-a-Rade,’ means “The Rock in the Road,” referring to an obstacle for migrating salmon searching for their birth river.
Atlantic salmon have been fished at Carrick-a-Rede and Larrybane since 1620. However, it wasn’t until 1755 that the first rope bridge was constructed between the mainland and Carrick-a-Rede Island to reduce the need for a boat to reach the island.
- Caves of Cushendun - Discover the Cushendun Caves, made famous by Game of Thrones® in Season 2 Episode 4. These caves, formed over 400 million years, are recognized by fans as the site of the Shadow creature’s birth.
Nearby, at the foot of Glendun – one of the Nine Glens of Antrim – lies the village of Cushendun, designed in the style of a Cornish village by the renowned architect Clough Williams-Ellis. This designated conservation area is home to the beloved sculpture of ‘Johann’ the goat, a famous resident of Cushendun.
