The best surf school - If you want to give surfing a go in Byron Bay and actually want to surf waves instead of "winging it" - this is the way to do it! Terry has all the experience and puts his all into finding the best surf spot, he knows by looking at the water how suitable it is for surfing (even if it doesn't look like anything to the lay-human!). I enjoyed it enough to go twice in a row! Highly recommend.

Surf lesson - Tezza is a local legend and gave my girlfriend a free lesson as he saw she was struggling. Nicest instructor in Byron and a must do whilst you are here.

Character owner/instructor - The owner and instructor we had was such an amazing character most Australian man I have ever met. He’s very humorous and a little quirky in a great way made the experience for us,the surfing’s itself was amazing and he was kind enough after a bit of begging to bet us progress but if you are a fast learner maybe think about private lessons since it can be a bit slow waiting your turn for him to push you when you want to try yourself.But I would give the day a 9/10 defo go along and prepare to fall and laugh a lot ,car was a little run down but it’s fine if your not picky and a open minded person x

Surfing with terry. - Absolutely amazing experience. Terry is really down to earth, and provides a true surfing experience. Everyone in the lesson was a beginner and by the end terry and rob had everyone catching waves. A truly great experience.

Excellent begineer surf lesson - We really enjoyed our Byron Bay surfing lesson. The beach chosen was perfect for very beginners — the waves started off very small and gradually built up, which made it a great learning environment. At first it didn’t look like much from the shore, but once you were out in the water it was ideal. We were running a little behind schedule, but luckily there was no rush. One thing to note is to make sure you call ahead on the day of your lesson, as our booking was originally for 10am but was changed to 1:30pm due to weather conditions, and we almost missed that update. We were in a fairly large group (around 16 people), but it worked well with three instructors and still felt organised. All of the instructors seemed very knowledgeable. Our instructor, Marco (hopefully I’ve spelled that correctly), was friendly and calm. He was a bit quieter than some of the others, but still supportive throughout the lesson. A few more tips would have been helpful, but overall it was still a positive experience. We did end up having to drive ourselves as the van was full, but we were reimbursed for petrol, which was really appreciated. Overall, it was a great experience and we would definitely recommend it. Surfing lesson review - For a first time surfer, the instructors were great and very helpful. They can pick-up from your hotel and take you to the beach and drop you back to your hotel after the surfing lesson. Great value for money

First time surfing - It was an experience learning surfing for a total beginner. Given the cost, it was good value. All the equipment was functional although they a little aged.

Rough and tough lesson - No structure to lesson; all very chaotic. Unhygienic facilities, poor communication, not good for confidence building.
