I had a really great... - I had a really great time, also now understand the basics of how to surf. Terry was amazing patient and chatty.

Anytime again - The location for surfing was great chosen. The waves were the right size for beginners. After a few attempts, getting up was no longer a problem. We have each stood many meters on the board. Terry and Jeremy rounded off the experience with their Australian “easy-going” attitude. Beginner friendly wave riding near Byron Bay! - My husband and I took a private lesson with Margaux while honeymooning in Byron Bay. She was an excellent instructor and helped us both stand on a wave within the first half hour! As beginners, we were appreciate that the multi-hour lesson took place on a not-so-busy beach south of Byron Bay. We rode a ton of waves and had a blast. Thanks Kool Katz!

Great!! - We had a great time! Jerry is a great guy who entertained us with conversation in the car. Liam was our private instructor and really pushed our limits where possible. Thanks for the amazing time guys! Would recommed it!

Excellent private lessons for quick progress - A good choice for solo travellers and small groups. You'll get excellent tips for how to quickly improve your efforts and technique. Can recommend booking with Kool Katz for very good lessons at a reasonable cost.

Perfect surf class - Terry made the hole experience special! Such a nice guy with good energy. We had a lot of fun during the class. I really recommend it :)

Great teachers and a lot of fun! - Great teachers, and we had a lot of fun. Knowledgeable, friendly and service-minded! Family of four all managed to stand up and surf basic surfing after only a few test-runs.

Learnt to surf but mixed reviews - Very mixed feelings about this activity. Boss was very rude to his staff and not very professional. On the other hand our instructor was very good and managed to get beginners to stand up many times which we were very pleased with. Equipment was very poor. Boards were rough and some had been badly repaired.

Horrendous - Very poor . The coaches are fantastic and I feel terrible for them as terry the boss is a cowboy . The boards are in terrible condition the fins are missing and falling out and THE OTHER BOARDS ARE GLUED TOGETHER!!! total safety hazard ! Terry’s organisational skills were terrible so we had to constantly wait . His jokes were culturally inappropriate and made people uncomfortable. He badmouthed his coach behind his back blaming him for the boards being broken when they are broken in the first place . DO NOT SUPPRT THIS BUSINESS!

Unorganized and unprofessional business. - Firstly we had to take our own car because they did not have room for us in their car. Even though we did not mind and we got money for fuel, we didn’t expect this. Secondly, we ordered a private lession, but were not informed that meant that we would have a private instructor only in the water. The rest of the course was with a big group and we had to wait for everybody even those who were late…. And lastly in the water there was no feedback nor instructions. So not much of a surfing lesson. The equipment was also very worn out. When we tried to talk to the manager/instructors we were met with a bad attitude. All in all not the best experience.
