As the adventure begins, a marine naturalist will introduce you to the Salish Sea ecosystem and its wildlife while cruising through the Gulf Islands archipelago in search of whales and other marine creatures. You’ll discover the various types of whales and marine life inhabiting the Salish Sea, including their natural history and roles within the marine food web.
Enjoy a full hour of whale viewing, with your marine naturalist offering real-time insights into their behaviors. Onboard catalogues help identify individual whales, and this data is collected throughout the whale-watching season to support local researchers.
The tour concludes with an educational lecture on marine conservation, focusing on BC whales and discussing conservation initiatives.
