Amazing time learning about street art in my neighbourhood from a street artist - My girlfriends and I had a wonderful time on a street art tour led by Chloe (who is a street artist herself). Despite living near the area for over 4 years, I have never been to the side alleys of major streets and have been missing out on the beautiful pieces that are apparently plentiful on and around Dundas West. Chloe spent the time to walk us through not only the pieces themselves, but also the back stories of the artists and how some of the pieces are connected with each other. It was awesome to see one of the pieces as a WIP and even chat with the artist too! Highly recommend to anyone who has a few hours of time - it doesn’t matter if you are visiting or live in Toronto full time, you will definitely see things you would miss without a guide to point them out to you. I hear the company also has guided tours in Montreal - I am definitely adding them to my itinerary for next time I’m visiting.

Interesting insights into street art - Really interesting insight into the culture of street art by a street artist herself! Chloe/Sloast obviously is very passionate about the subject matter and has a lot of inside knowledge. Wear comfortable shoes for doing a lot of standing on concrete - there isn’t much walking actually in this tour but the standing lots can get a little bit sore on the back!

A great little art tour! - I participated on the tour with my spouse and my niece . All of us very much enjoyed the tour and the tour guide Chloe/ Sloast. And the weather held up! I think that the tour does a very good job of showing many different forms of street art in a relatively small area of the City and linking both the art and the artists to the local community. I particularly liked when Chloe/ Sloast used her artistic experience to discuss the works from a creative perspective – how the artists seek to achieve the effects that they are after, and whether they are successful in doing so. I also thought that the discussion of "negotiation of space" was very interesting – showing how artists working in an unruled time and space nonetheless arrive at norms and standards as to how work and work product can co exist even by different people seeking to use space that is not theirs. Finally I thought that the tour did a great job of making us see the art as art and the artists as artists – this is a function of not only naming the artist (which validates their work and their practice ) but also pointing out different techniques. I have a couple of suggestions although I do not know whether it fits into the plans for the tour. Providing stickers with the tour logo for the participants – and providing tour participants to "slap" a sticker, use an oil stick or some other creative outlet The pace of the tour was good - with enough time to look at the art and take a break, to look at the neighborhood etc. I also thought that the tour was good value for what you got -- not just exposure to the art but some excellent and informed analysis

Street Art Lovers Rejoice! - I took this tour solo and had such a great time! I knew Toronto had a street art scene but I didn't know the city has street art by some seriously prolific artists! It was really cool to learn about the "rules" of street art and the difference between art and grafitti. Chloe was really knowledgeable and I think it really makes a difference that she's an artist herself. She could pick out artists by their tags and tell what mediums they used. We even got to see some of her art and she talked about her process. I got some amazing photos and we got to explore a truly local area. 10/10!

A great, unique experience - Had a great experience on this tour. Sloast did a great job of explaining the art and it really gave me a totally different perspective on the city. We visited a bunch of different pieces all in diverse styles and each with their own story.

Street art tour by real artist! - Super cool and knowledgeable street art tour from a real Toronto street artist (I think it's the only tour like this). You get to see a lot of art that's a bit hidden, I live in Toronto and would never have seen any of this if it wasn't for going on a guided tour! The guide knows all the stories and all the artists, so a lot of research goes in to making this tour, plus they teach you the history of graffiti. I went on the Montreal one too and the Toronto tour is just as good, maybe better!

A unique perspective of the city - For years I have been following and writing about street art around the world. Took a wonderful streetart tour in my own city tonight. @tostreetarttours led by @sloast . Run under the umbrella of @spadeandpalacio who have experience giving similar tours in Montreal. Highly enjoyable and enlightening experience. I spend so much time following streetart around the world I didn’t know how much great art there is in my own city. Saw great pieces and learned so much. Highly recommend this as a great way to spend two hours seeing a different side of the city. Thank you so much for the experience.

Discovering Toronto - I was in Toronto for a conference and was so happy that a friend told me about this company’s soft launch. I learned so much about the graffiti and street art culture here in Toronto and abroad. I like the fact that the tours are run by local artist and our guide Chloe was amazing. I can’t say enough! Thanks for the recommendations list as well. I was able to eat at one of the restaurants on the list and it was delicious. I will be back!
