Mirador Cruz del Condor - D1 - AREQUIPA-CHIVAY-CRUZ DEL CONDOR-CABANACONDE-SAN JUAN-COSHNIRWA-MALATA
The guide will collect guests from their hotel at 3:30 am to embark on a journey to the Colca Canyon. The first stop will be in the town of Chivay for a delightful breakfast. The journey continues to the Cruz del Condor viewpoint at 3600m, where visitors can marvel at the condors soaring from the canyon’s depths like mountain spirits and capture stunning photos of the landscape and the condors in flight. The adventure proceeds to the village of Cabanaconde, the starting point for the hike into the Colca Canyon. After a 3-hour descent, the group will arrive at the village of San Juan for lunch, before continuing the trek to Coshñirwa - Malata, where a spectacular night awaits. -
Oasis Sangalle - DAY 3 - MALATA-OASIS SANGALLE
At 9 am, the trek towards the Colca River descent begins, offering a breathtaking view of the oasis. After crossing a bridge, the group will finally reach the oasis of Sangalle. Upon checking into their room, guests will enjoy a delicious lunch prepared by a local chef. The afternoon promises relaxation amidst lush vegetation, palm trees, a swimming pool, and a spectacular sun, all in perfect harmony with the mountains, condors, and the musical sounds of the Colca River. Dinner will be served, and the night will be spent in one of Latin America’s deepest canyons at 4160 meters. -
Chivay - DAY 3 - OASIS - CABANACONDE-CRUZ DEL CONDOR-CHIVAY-AREQUIPA
The ascent begins very early, with a zigzagging and steep path requiring about 3 hours of walking to reach the top. After a delicious breakfast in Cabanaconde, the journey continues to the Cruz del Cóndor for a final view of the Colca Canyon, then on to Chivay to enjoy the wonderful hot springs. After lunch, the group will return to the city of Arequipa (approximate arrival at 5:00 pm). Alternatively, a bus from Chivay to Puno is available.
