Cachora - The journey begins at 6:00 a.m. with a hotel pick-up, followed by a drive to the town of Cachora (3100 meters above sea level). Cachora - The journey begins at 6:00 a.m. with a hotel pick-up, followed by a drive to the town of Cachora (3100 meters above sea level). Around 10:00 a.m., the trek commences with the support of porters and pack horsemen. Along the trail, trekkers will enjoy views of the snow-capped Padreyoc (5,482 meters above sea level) and Wayna Cachora. Upon reaching the Capuliyoc pass (2900 meters above sea level), a stunning panoramic view of the Apurimac Valley awaits. After a short rest, the descent continues towards the town of Chiquisqa (1930 meters above sea level), where the first camp will be set up.
CHIQUISQA - PLAYA ROSALINA - SUNCHUPATA.
SUNCHUPATA - CHOQUEQUIRAO - CHIQUISQA.
Choquequirao Wasi - The day begins with a breakfast prepared by the cook, followed by a hike to Choquequirao to witness the sunrise. A three-hour guided tour of the Citadel will provide insights into the significance of the Inca archaeological complex and the Apurimac and Rio Blanco rivers. After exploring Choquequirao, the return journey to Sunchupata begins, continuing to Santa Rosa and descending to Rosalina beach. Upon reaching Chiquisqa, the camp for the night will be set up.
CHIQUISQA - CAPULIYOC - CACHORA
Cachora - After a delightful breakfast in Chiquisqa at 6:00 a.m., the return journey follows the same path to the Capuliyoc pass. From there, the trek continues for another two hours to the town of Cachora, arriving around 12:00 p.m. Along the way, trekkers will encounter exotic flora and fauna, as well as breathtaking views of mountains, snow-capped peaks, and the impressive Apurimac Canyon. The journey concludes with a return to the city of Cusco, arriving at the hotel in the afternoon.
