This beach is encircled by cliffs adorned with eucalyptus and pine trees, located along the coast of Quartu Sant’Elena in South Sardinia. Here, you can swim in the crystal-clear waters and explore the seabed teeming with fish. Additionally, you can view the Spanish-built watchtower perched atop the promontory.
• Spiaggia di Mari Pintau - Next on our tour, we will anchor for lunch at Mari Pintau beach, which translates to painted sea. This bay is among the most photographed in Sardinia due to its stunning landscape and turquoise waters.
• Capitana - The final stop on our tour before heading back to port is Capitana beach. This beach features a narrow coastline shaped by sea erosion over time, with the Nuraghe Diana, an ancient dwelling from the 2nd millennium B.C., crowning the promontory. According to local legends, the Nuragic fortress once guarded a treasure: the loot was supposedly stashed by a pirate and his companion, the Capitana, who awaited her beloved’s return in vain, scanning the sea from these shores. The locals honored her by naming the place after her.
