From Great Adventures’ expansive reef activity platform anchored at the magnificent Outer Reef, the coral and marine life are at their most vibrant. There are plenty of activities for all ages, both swimmers and non-swimmers. Snorkel and dive, or stay dry and explore the reef in the underwater observatory or from the air-conditioned semi-submersible.

Additionally, there is a fantastic selection of optional activities such as scuba diving, scenic helicopter flights, and the exclusive Scuba-Doo underwater scooter. These activities incur an additional cost payable on the day.

Begin your day with a quick 45-minute catamaran ride to the stunning Green Island, where you will have 2 hours to explore its vibrant coral reef and lush rainforest. Following this, continue your adventure with 3 hours on Great Adventures’ spacious activity platform, anchored at the magnificent Outer Great Barrier Reef.

With a variety of activities suitable for all ages—whether you enjoy swimming or prefer to stay dry—you can snorkel, dive, or view the reef from the underwater observatory or the air-conditioned semi-submersible.

Seeking more thrills? Optional extras such as scuba diving, scenic helicopter flights, and the unique Scuba-Doo underwater scooter are available for purchase on the day.

• After a single dive a wait of 12 hours is recommended before ascending to an altitude of 300 metres or greater. If doing multiple dives an interval of 24 hours is suggested.
• The minimum age for scuba diving is 12 years. Certain medical conditions and medications may preclude some people from participating.
• Snorkelling can be a strenuous activity. We recommend informing crew of any medical conditions.
