Turtle Hospital was a Beautiful Highlight of our trip to Cairns - We loved hearing about the wonderful work of the turtle rescue centre. The information beforehand was pitched well to accommodate young children (my own 11 -year old) and adults. The environmental insights have led to some changed behaviour in what we do as a family. It was just the right length, and we loved hearing about the three turtles currently being rehabilitated. Thanks so much for the great memories and the beautiful photos we got of Tommy the Green Sea Turtle swimming away. I hope his release went well and he is living his best life out on the reef.

Well kept hospital - Ticket comes with the general admission plus the turtle hospital tour. The highlight is the turtle hospital where you can get a more in-depth explanation of the kind of turtle and the work they do to rescue turtles. The turtle hospital is well kept and the turtles are in good environment. The staff/volunteer there are passionate about the work they do there and are friendly.

Best DRY attraction in Cairns 🤣 - Amazing aquarium that educates the visitor into the intricate relationship of a Billabong, stream, mangroves and the sea. Well done team I am going home with a better understanding of Queensland fauna and flora. Great experience will recommend whole heartedly to everyone.

Cairns Aquarium - a fantastic experience! - My visit to Cairns Aquarium was a fantastic experience. The design of the aquarium is outstanding. They have created a beautiful walking area that winds its way between the tanks of live exhibits. Some of the tanks are huge, so that you actually feel as if you are underwater (without the challenge of diving) and the tanks are furnished to look like real underwater environments. Family groups can enjoy the visual experience of seeing the marine and freshwater animals close up, while people who want to be informed about what they are seeing can enjoy excellent talks by the aquarium staff and read the interesting information panels. There was an emphasis in all the information presented on how we can look after our amazing marine environment. I also loved the Turtle Rescue session. The introductory talk by a Turtle Rescue volunteer was excellent and meeting a live green sea turtle up close is an experience that I will never forget. Thank you Cairns Aquarium, you are doing a wonderful job.

Great experience - Arrived to be greeted with helpful staff. I attended the turtle rehab talk which was very informative using both clips and slides. Great to see how people help the turtles. The aquarium itself is set out well with lots of informative displays. Had a great time. Bonus for those who collect patches there were plenty to chose from.

Turtle rehabilitation at the Cairns Aquarium - The aquarium is amazing, be prepared to stay there for longer than you expect. A lot of interesting exhibits and commentaries. The turtle rehab helped me understand how humans contribute to their demise, particularly from plastic pollution and fishing gear entanglement.

Aquarium Visit - Paid a bit extra for the Turtle Hospital Tour & so glad we did. Wonderful to learn all about these beautiful creatures and to see them up close. Really informative talks throughout the day. Brett especially entertaining and clearly passionate about all things in the sea, particularly his beloved sharks. The tanks are super clean and the creatures are healthy with a great diversity of species to see. The huge tanks are incredibly impressive. We sat and watched the fish for ages. Brilliant day out (& away from the burning sun)!

Good but quiet expensive - We visited the aquarium with my 4 year old granddaughter who loves turtles, there were no queues and it was easy for us to see the fish and exhibits. We enjoyed the talks and found the staff to be friendly and knowledgeable We did the turtle hospital which was informative The only down side was it was a bit pricey compared to the many other aquariums we have visited, I do hope locals get a discount, and the shop for merchandise was very expensive
