Abu Simbel Temple Complex - Early in the morning, your guide will accompany you to the Abu Simbel archaeological site, located within the mountain south of Aswan. This site features two grand temples carved into the rock on the west bank of the Nile, now positioned on the western shore of Lake Nasser behind the High Dam. The Temple of Abu Simbel was constructed during the reign of Pharaoh Ramses II as a lasting tribute to himself and Queen Nefertari, commemorating his victory at the Battle of Kadesh and to assert dominance over the neighboring Nubians.

Aswan - Return to the hotel to check out, collect your belongings, and enjoy a meal before heading to the train station at two o’clock for your return journey to Cairo. Upon arrival, a representative will be waiting to escort you back to a hotel in Cairo.
