Flight from Cairo to Aswan

Cairo - The tour leader will collect guests from their hotel in Cairo or Giza and transfer them to Cairo airport for a flight to Aswan, a stunning city renowned for its Nubian culture in Upper Egypt.

Temple of Philae - Upon arrival in Aswan, the guide will meet guests at the airport to commence the tour.

Visit the renowned High Dam, constructed in 1964, and enjoy views across Lake Nasser.

Then, explore the Philae Temple on Agilkia Island.

The temple is situated on the fascinating island of Philae, which is submerged most of the year by Lake Nasser’s waters. The main Temple of Isis and its monuments were constructed between the 26th dynasty and the Roman period.

Nubian Village - After some rest, transfer to a jetty on the Nile River to board a boat for Sohail Island.

Depending on river conditions and weather, travel in a traditional Felucca sailboat or a modern motorboat.

Enjoy views of the Nile riverbanks en route to Sohail Island, passing Elephantine Island along the way.

Disembark on Sohail Island and visit a traditional Nubian house to learn about the Nubian people’s history and culture over a glass of welcome tea.

The Great Temples of Abu Simbel

Abu Simbel Temple Complex - Pick up around 5:00 am from the hotel in Aswan.
