Egyptian Museum - Then visiting the Egyptian Museum of antiquities. It displays the largest and most precious items of the Egyptian art in the world. It exhibits a rare collection of over 250,000 genuine artifacts that date as far back as 5000 years, including an exclusive exhibit dedicated to the Tut ankh Amon - A collection of treasures, gold, and jewelry that were buried in his tomb for over 3,500 years before they were discovered in the 1920s when his tomb was excavated.
Finally you will be transferred to your Hotel.
Alexandria city tour
Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa - Your tour guide will pick you up from your hotel to start your tour at Alexandria. First you will visit the insides of the Catacombs of Kom El Shokafa which are the largest Roman Cemetery consisting of three levels cut in the rock.
Pompey’s Pillar - You will also drive by Pompay’s Pillar and stop for a photo stop, (it was constructed in honor of the Emperor Diocletian at the end of the 4th century)
Fort Qaitbey - Also you will see the corniche and the old harbor where you can see the old fishing boats, men fishing and traditional fishermen making nets. The photos taken here are amazing. Bibliotheca Alexandrina - Next stop is the library of Alexandria; the biggest library in the world –Visit its open court where you can see the statue of Alexander the Great and the statue of Ptolemy the first, which was found underwater nearby. You will visit president Saddat Museum and impressions of Alexandria Museum. Note: Alexandria library is closed on Fridays, Saturdays & in public holidays. Citadel & old Cairo & Khan Khalili Bazzar
Cairo Citadel - Pick you up from your hotel to start our tour visiting “The Citadel of Saladin Al Ayouby”. It was built in 12th century to fortify Cairo against the Crusaders. The citadel was used as the seat of the king and his government in Egypt for many centuries and many dynasties including the Ayyubids, the Mamluks, and even some Ottomans ruled over Egypt from the Citadel. And the Great Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali Pasha which stands proudly on the highest point inside the courtyard of the Citadel of Saladin. It’s one the landmarks in Cairo with its huge space, the beautiful decorations on its walls, and its remarkable domes and minarets.
Coptic Cairo - Then visiting the Old Cairo that known as Christian Coptic Cairo which is Among the most important locations visited by the Holy Family where the spiritual impact of their presence is most felt still; though their stay was brief, for the Governor of what was then Fustat enraged by the tumbling down of idols at Jesus’ approach sought to kill the Child. But they took shelter from his wrath in a cave above which, in later years, the Church of Abu Serga (St Sergious) was built. This and the whole area of the Fort of Babylon is a destination of pilgrimage not only for the Egyptians but for Christians from around the world. An air of piety and devotion pervades the whole district there. Also there you will be able to visit and enter the Church of Abu-Sergah and St. Barbara, the hanging church, and the old Jewish synagogue - Ben Ezra Synagogue.
Khan Al-Khalili - Then ending our tour with going to Khan el Khalili Bazaar which is one of Cairo’s main attractions. The district of Khan el Khalili was originally a mausoleum called “el Zaafran” for the burial of Fatimid Caliphs, after that it became a district for the Turkish community during the Ottoman period, and now it becomes a bazzar where you will find many souvenirs shops, coffeehouses “Café” serving Arabic coffee and offering Hookah “Shisha”, and restaurants throughout the area.
