Cairo - Day 01 Cairo- Bahariya Oasis
Begin your day with breakfast at your hotel, after which your guide will collect you in an air-conditioned vehicle for a direct journey to Bahariya Oasis via Tariq El-Wahat.
Upon arrival, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before embarking on a tour in 4x4 Jeeps to explore the Sand Dunes and the Salt Lake. Take a leisurely walk before heading to the Black Desert Egypt, known for its mountains and hills rich in black basalt. Over thousands of years, the wind has exposed this basalt, scattering rocks across the area and giving it a distinctive black appearance.
Gebel El Marsos is a renowned mountain offering a stunning view of the surrounding landscape, making you feel as if you’re on another planet. The next stop is El Heiz village and its spring, where you can enjoy a refreshing bath (nothing compares to the springs and wells of Bahariya).
Continue to the Crystal Mountain, believed to be a sub-volcanic vault from the Oligocene age. From there, drive off-road to Aqabat, a small, picturesque valley with unique mountain formations.
White Desert National Park
The next destination is the breathtaking White Desert or White Desert National Park, featuring magnificent natural rock formations sculpted by the wind over millions of years. Many formations have amusing names like Tents, Mushrooms, Ice Cream Cones, Ostriches, Hawks, and Crickets. They are best viewed at sunrise or sunset when the sun casts hues of pink and orange, or under a full moon, giving them a ghostly appearance.
Camping in Egypt
Experience camping in the White Desert with a barbecue dinner and folkloric party, featuring special music performances and dancing around the fire by our drivers. After enjoying an unforgettable scene, the visible stars in the tranquil atmosphere will encourage you to relax outside the tent and gaze until your soul, mind, and body are content.
White Desert- Bahariya Oasis
Cairo - Awaken from a peaceful night, enjoy breakfast in the camping area, then drive back to Bahariya Oasis to check in at your hotel. In the afternoon, relish a sunset view from the top of a hill where you can see the English House (a nickname for the old fortress).
From this vantage point, you can admire a stunning view of Bahariya Oasis below, then return to the hotel for dinner and leisure time. You may choose to take a one-hour walk through the streets of the Oasis to explore the nightlife of the Wahati people, with the opportunity to sit at a local café and enjoy a typical Egyptian drink.
Bahariya Oasis- Cairo
Cairo - Begin your day with breakfast at your hotel, followed by some free time to enjoy morning activities in the village. Don’t miss the chance to try traditional Egyptian Falafel with Aish Baladi or bread, or simply watch locals sipping tea at café shops, discussing the weather or sharing jokes.
You may encounter friendly and curious children greeting new visitors with a cheerful “HELLO” without expecting anything in return. Begin your village tour with a visit to the Museum of the Golden Mummies, from a Greco-Roman necropolis (so named because they are covered with a layer of gold) and the tomb of Bannantiu.
The Bahariya Oasis tour concludes as you return to your hotel in Cairo.
