Amazing trip from start to finish! Recommend booking directly with Ali! - The day trip to Cairo from Sharm was amazing and so worth it! We booked directly with Ali and I would highly recommend this for anyone taking the trip - his communication and attention to detail was fantastic from start to finish. Ali was extremely responsive by messaging prior to arriving in Egypt and gave all of the details needed with good notice. Everything ran smoothly during the day, flights with Egypt Air were great value and they even had TVs and free water/ snacks which helped to entertain the kids. Ali’s professionalism and friendly nature throughout the tour made it so relaxing and enjoyable - and he really tailored the tour to the kids, which was the cherry on top! The pace, information given and all of the stops that we made were great. Opportunities for some lovely souvenirs (children especially liked the papyrus shop), and the buffet lunch was good quality with lots of options. Overall, this was a truly memorable family experience and hopefully a day our children will remember for many years to come. Ali is brilliant and we thank him for his care and attention for our trip! Highly recommend to anyone taking a tour in Cairo or coming from Sharm or further afield - book direct - you will not be disappointed!

A fabulous day in Cairo - This was a first class trip. I booked through Trip Advisor the week before my daughter (10yo) and I came on holiday to sharm-el-sheikh. The communication around the details were all conducted over WhatsApp and I always got prompt responses. The basic flights were very early from sharm and very late back into sharm so I paid about £100 extra for a shorter day. We opted for the private tour and am glad we did. On arrival our driver was waiting with a sign with our name. The traffic in Cairo is a nightmare but our driver skilfully navigated the journey to the museum where we met up with our guide (mostafa). The guide was superb, guiding us around the museum, explaining the significance of certain artefacts and all with a great deal of enthusiasm. He even offered to take photos of us in front of certain pieces. We then were taken to the docks for a 35 minute felluca ride on the Nile the water was pretty calm and overall a very good experience. After we had done that the driver was waiting to take us to our next stop which was a restaurant for lunch (ok - but the local cuisine isn’t ideal for kids). After lunch we were taken to the pyramids/sphinx area. Again the guide was brilliant and helped make a special day that little bit better. We then had a brief stop at a papyrus museum where we where showed how papyrus paper is made before the journey back to the airport. Would highly recommend this trip.

Ali is awesome - Ali is an amazingly knowledgeable guy who had an answer to every question we had about ancient Egypt. He packed in loads of activities into our tour and overall the trip was fantastic and would highly recommend him to others. My only comment would be a bit more time spent at each monuments and a bit less time shopping although we do realise the little time we had.

Well organised & jam packed day - The tour was very well organised with Ahmed contacting me prior on WhatsApp to confirm all the details such as transport and arrangements. We had a private driver and our Egyptologist (Ms. Anan) was fantastic company with perfect English, guiding us round the pyramids and through the museum sharing her knowledge and bringing artefacts to life! Would highly recommend.

Outstanding tour with wonderful guide Anan. - We booked our day trip to Cairo from Sharm El Sheikh directly with Wonders of Egypt Tours. Communication was excellent pre-departure from the UK and all our queries were answered promptly, which we were very grateful for. Preparation is key for us when travelling with our teenage sons who are both autistic.
We were given the WhatsApp contact numbers of the drivers and guides prior to our day trip.
Pick up from our hotel to the airport was prompt and courteous. We were met by our lovely Cairo driver for the day on leaving the terminal building there.
We drove to Giza where we stopped at a service station with an incredible view of the pyramids! We were grateful for good coffee and a snack. There met our wonderful guide Anan, after introductions and a chat about the day we were soon on our way to the pyramids!
Arriving not long after the site opened, it was peaceful and almost felt like we had the area to ourselves for a while. Anan gave us lots of history; she’s clearly a knowledgeable Egyptologist, however she tailored it perfectly to allow our sons to process all of the information.
We thoroughly enjoyed exploring this incredible site, learning fascinating stories of the pyramids, sphinx and mummification temple whilst having plenty of opportunity for questions, photos; stopping at some wonderful vantage points.
Next stop(at our request)was a jewellery shop as we were keen to purchase a cartouches. Anan knew where to take us and ensured we were well looked after. We even got to watch the production process thanks to her.
We were ready for lunch and headed to the famous Abou Tarek for a traditional Koshary lunch, which was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed conversations with Anan about life in Cairo and sharing with her about our life in Wales.
We headed to the museum, once again Anan shared her vast knowledge but tailoring it perfectly to our needs as a family.
Finally we took to the Nile in a traditional Felucca, which was so peaceful and interesting allowing us see Cairo from a different perspective. Before we knew it, it was time to head back to the airport.
Throughout the day we were so well taken care of by Anan, she collected all the entrance tickets for us, ordered lunch and ensured that we were comfortable and happy at all times. It was a pleasure to spend the day with her, we were so grateful to have her as our guide. Our driver was excellent, we felt extremely safe in his hands as he navigated the roads all over Cairo. He dropped and collected us from convenient locations.
My top tip would be to organise your visa for Cairo before arriving in Egypt. I tried a number of times but the website was incredibly glitchy when I attempted. Feeling I was getting too close to arrival in Egypt I opted to bring US dollars to pay for ours. You actually need the visa in order to leave Sharm El Sheikh, you don’t obtain it on arrival in Cairo which is what I was led to believe.
We were scammed in Sharm El Sheikh airport by two firm and abrupt ground staff who told us that extra money was required in order to get the visa “stamp” in addition to the visa fee. With a flight departing imminently and a fear of not making our day trip; we felt we had no choice to pay, it was quite an unpleasant experience. I have since researched and found this is allegedly a common scam at the airport here. This is obviously separate to the Wonders of Egypt Tours but I wanted to raise awareness so other tourists can be wary of this.
All in all I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Wonders of Egypt Tours, an excellent company providing high quality tours across Egypt with customer happiness and satisfaction a priority. If we’re back in Egypt we would book with them in a heart beat and we would also request our fantastic guide Anan once again. Thank you all so much for giving us many special holiday memories.

Fabulous day tour - An unforgettable experience for us. It was a long day but everything went smoothly and we avoided the big crowds. Ahmed was very professional throughout, spoke fluent English and went the extra mile to accommodate when we wanted to make an unscheduled stop for a drink and photo’s at the French restaurant by the pyramids! He was friendly and relaxed, nothing was too much trouble. Our driver weaved through the busy traffic in Cairo with great skill, we felt safe at all times. Hassle free day with a lovely cruise down the Nile to end a perfect day!!

Spectacular sites, beauty and reality a must see an amazing memory. - Communication between myself and company was second to none. They are very helpful and patient with all my questions. Every step of the way mapped out and details of pick up told in advance keeping you safe.
Driver to the airport was amazing and he picked us up again on the way back.
On arrival at Cairo coming out of the airport is abit hectic people asking if you need a taxi but you will be greeted with an already booked which you will be told before hand driver. Ours was 5 mins late so we did walk around trying to find him but if you stay at the exit(when you come to leave airport carry straight on to first exit) that’s were he will meet you and then you walk couple of minutes to car.
First stop pyramids so you miss the crowds which is a must really for photos then dinner in a place called first class. Food was nice choice of burger(no bun) chips or fish or chicken. Then to see a fashion show(not on program but well worth it so funny 15mins) Onto museum lots to see amazing. Maybe ask for sometime to look around yourself for some of your time there as the guide is very knowledgeable. Then the Nile which was nice though nothing like I imagined it to look like and then back to airport.
So glad I did it and cannot fault company.

Incredible tour from start to finish. Wealth of expertise from our super friendly guide! - What an amazing day in Cairo, thanks to Wonders of Egypt Tours!
We booked a last-minute trip to Cairo (less than 24 hours before the excursion), and we couldn’t be more impressed with the entire process. The communication was superb, and every stage of our journey went smoothly.
Ali, our tour guide, was incredibly helpful from start to finish and made the trip totally stress-free—especially important after a 4 AM flight!
The tour organized all the taxi transfers, from the hotel to the airport and then from the airport to Giza. Our driver, Mohamed, remained calm and made the journey feel safe despite the chaotic traffic in Cairo. He truly deserves a medal for his driving! He took care of us throughout the entire day, and we couldn’t thank him enough.
Ali greeted us on our way to Giza and was friendly from the very beginning. He explained everything clearly from start to finish. His extensive knowledge allowed us to learn so much. Ali presented the history in a way that was easy for my mum and me to understand, even though we had little prior knowledge. My dad, who had more background in the area, asked many questions, and Ali answered them all with expertise and passion. I believe he will make an incredible Egyptologist! I wish him the best in his career and hope he discovers hidden treasures along the way.
Don’t be put off by any concerns!
We almost hesitated to go because we had been told there were no flights available from our hotel, which turned out to be untrue. Additionally, we had heard about possible delays with flights and poor communication from other tour providers. However, with Wonders of Egypt, there were zero delays! They offered several flight options and simply informed us that our preferred flight was slightly more expensive, which we were happy to pay. We even returned earlier than expected and had time for dinner at the hotel. We purchased a visa at the airport, which our taxi driver helped us navigate, making that process easy and stress-free as well.
We highly recommend this tour, and if you can opt for a private experience, it is definitely worth it!

Great Experience Touring Cairo - Had a fantastic time exploring Cairo. Experience was as described. Our tour guide was knowledgeable, passionate about the history of Egypt, accommodating and it was nice having a private tour.
We were picked up from our hotel and transported to Cairo airport from Sharm-el-sheikh, was picked up when we arrived and tour guide met us not far from the museum which was our first stop. Guide was patient as we had a 3 year old who was less interested in walking around the museum
Visited the pyramids of Giza (i stepped inside the main pyramid which was amazing) and saw the Sphinx but slightly disappointed we were too late to steo inside the main cinpound to take closer look. Took loads of photos. Taken to have lunch which was really nice. Also had a private boat ride on the river Nile.
Would definitely recommend.
Note - ask about alternative flight times (if travelling outside of Cairo) as the flights included had very early start and very late return. Also be prepared for heavy sales pitches when exploring local businesses such as the papaya shop, fragrance store and antiques ship.
