• Cairo - Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, a representative will greet you with a sign displaying your name. They will assist you with all formalities and help you obtain your visa. Following this, you will be escorted to your hotel in a private vehicle. Embark on an epic journey through Egypt’s antiquities, starting in Cairo. Overnight stay in Cairo.
• Pyramids of Giza - After breakfast at your hotel, begin your exciting day with a private guide at the Giza Plateau. Enjoy the chance to enter one of these legendary structures and admire the massive stones used in their construction (extra ticket required). Then, view the Great Sphinx with the pyramids as a backdrop, a scene that has inspired adventurers for centuries. Visit Sakkara and explore the Step Pyramid, which evolved from a simple mastaba to the well-known pyramidal shape. Afterwards, visit Memphis City, the ancient capital of Egypt, home to the colossal statue of Ramses II and the great Alabaster Sphinx. This city dates back to 3100 B.C. See the grand statue of King Ramses II, the largest man-made statue for a king, and also visit the Alabaster Statue of Queen Hatshepsut. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.
• The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities - Visit the Egyptian Museum, Old Cairo, and Bazaar. After breakfast, begin a new day of touring Egypt by visiting the fascinating Egyptian Museum, which houses artifacts from the Pharaonic period. Luxor, the world’s largest open-air museum, begins your tour with a visit to the grand Karnak complex. Every pharaoh added and amended the buildings here during their reign, leaving their mark on the kingdom’s most revered religious sanctuary.
• Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari - Explore the Valley of the Kings & Queen Hatshepsut. After breakfast, start your tour on the west bank of Luxor with the Valley of the Kings (KV). Since Howard Carter uncovered King Tutankhamun’s tomb, revealing the treasures of the boy king, the Valley of the Kings has captivated travelers. The vividly painted tombs of Thebes’ pharaohs offer a glimpse into the burial rites and death rituals of Ancient Egypt, remaining Luxor’s West Bank’s most popular attraction. You will have the opportunity to visit three tombs, with more than 64 tombs found in the Valley of the Kings, still awaiting further discoveries. The second tour on the West Bank will be to the temple of Queen Hatshepsut, located beneath massive cliffs near the Nile’s west bank.
• Edfu - Sail by cruise to Aswan, visiting Edfu, Kom Ombo, and Philae Temple. After breakfast, check out from your hotel in Luxor and head to Aswan, stopping in Edfu to visit the Temple of Edfu, dedicated to the God Horus. Situated on a hill overlooking the Nile, the Temple of Edfu is the best-preserved of the Ancient Egyptian shrines. As the largest temple dedicated to Horus, statues of the falcon-headed god are found throughout the complex, and its extensive wall carvings provide valuable insights into the Hellenistic period of Egyptian history. The exquisite reliefs offer a glimpse into the religion, mythology, and lifestyle of the era. Continue to Kom Ombo city to visit another impressive temple, the Temple of Kom Ombo, one of Egypt’s more unusual temples.
• Abu Simbel - Discover the magnificent Temple of Abu Simbel. After breakfast, prepare to be amazed by the grandeur of these two temples. With your guide and private vehicle, embark on a three-hour drive to the Abu Simbel temples. At one time, these temples were threatened by submersion in Lake Nasser due to the construction of the High Dam. The Egyptian government, with UNESCO’s support, launched a worldwide appeal to save these colossal landmarks. They were successfully dismantled and relocated 60 meters above the cliff where they were originally built. The more famous of the two temples is dedicated to Ramses II, and the smaller one to his favorite wife, Queen Nefertari.
• Cairo - Final Departure – Farewell Egypt. After breakfast, a representative from Look at Egypt Tours will escort you to the airport for your final departure, according to your flight schedule.
