- Cairo - Begin the day early at 7:30 am with a meeting with a knowledgeable archaeologist guide. The tour starts with a hotel pickup, embarking on an exciting journey to Egypt’s first capital, Memphis.
- The Sphinx of Memphis - The next stop is Memphis, an ancient city and Egypt’s first capital, established in the 31st century BC. Here, visitors can admire various relics, including one of the largest statues of King Ramses II, an alabaster sphinx, and several statues of the god Ptah.
- Giza - Travel from the open-air Museum of Memphis to the Dahshour necropolis.
- Pyramids of Dahshour - Explore the Dahshour site and its two pyramids: the Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid. Both date back to the era of King Sneferu, father of King Khufu (Cheops). These pyramids were the last built in Egypt before the construction of the Great Pyramid of Cheops. The Bent Pyramid, the older of the two, retains much of its original limestone casing. South of this pyramid lies the smaller pyramid of his wife, Hetep Heres, mother of Cheops. The Red Pyramid, named for the iron oxide in its stones, is also part of this site. Due to the presence of a significant military base, photography with strong zoom is restricted for security reasons. Visitors can enter the chambers of both pyramids, though they are quite long and deep.
- Giza - Transfer from the Dahshour necropolis to the Sakkara necropolis, home to the world’s oldest pyramid, the Step Pyramid of Djoser.
- Saqqara (Sakkara) Pyramids - At the Sakkara necropolis, visitors can marvel at the Step Pyramid of Djoser, the world’s oldest pyramid. The site also features tombs of nobles adorned with reliefs depicting ancient Egyptian daily life. These are the mastabas or tombs of high-ranking individuals. Inside the Pyramid of Teti, the pyramid texts in the burial chamber are particularly fascinating.
- Giza - Proceed from the Sakkara necropolis to a restaurant for lunch (not included in the price), offering a chance to savor delicious Egyptian cuisine.
- Pyramids of Giza - The tour continues to the Giza Plateau to visit the Great Pyramids, the Sphinx, and the Valley Temple. The tour includes a three-hour walk to enjoy a breathtaking panorama that will leave a lasting impression. Visitors will explore the three Pyramids of Giza, dating back to the Old Kingdom, 4th Dynasty. The tour also includes a visit to the iconic Sphinx, the largest carved statue from a single piece of stone, created by King Chephren. There is an opportunity to enter one of the pyramids to see its interior (not included - additional fees apply).
- Cairo - Return transfer from the Giza area back to the hotel, the morning’s departure point.
