Wonderful - We had booked a tour in German, but we were informed the day before that the tour was in English. The company could have told us this earlier, of course it's not the guide's fault. However, we were very lucky to have Dr. Mohamed Youssef Ali as our guide, who speaks excellent English. He has worked as an archaeologist for many years and organized everything according to our wishes. He explained a lot to us and answered all our questions. We have never experienced his knowledge and passion for the subject before with any guide (anywhere in the world). He informed us the day before how and when we would be picked up, so we knew who to look for when we were picked up. We also had a very nice driver, Androw, who picked us up from the hotel and brought us back safely. We had a great and informative day and would like to say a big thank you.

Abrahim Rishad - Our tour guide did an amazing job of giving us background to each site and enough free time as well to explore! I felt safe and taken care of the whole time. He is very kind and funny, would recommend Abrahim as a guide in the future :).

A Day of Pyramids - We enjoyed a super day exploring the pyramids of Giza, Sakkara and Dahsur with Wael Kamouna; he was friendly, knowledgeable and sympathetic to the young age of our children. Our oldest was delighted to try camel riding alongside the Giza Pyramids, everyone was excited to explore inside a pyramid and our brief stop at the Papyrus Institute was very interesting. ** When we booked the tour the list of possible sites to visit included Cairo sites as well Giza and we planned to split our day across the Giza Plateau and Cairo. Despite messaging the company in advance of the tour to indicate our choice of sites to visit, we did not find out until Wael picked us up that we were unable to do this. This was disappointing, as we would have planned our time in Cairo differently has we known in advance. It would be useful if this was expressed more clearly at the time of booking. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our time exploring the pyramids with Wael.

Full day exploring the pyramids - We had Ahmed Zakaria as our guide and a man named Mohammed as our driver on a private tour - both were excellent. It was a very full day of exploring the pyramids. There are a number of 'exclusions' which we had to pay additional for (e.g,. the solar boat, entrance to the pyramids, a longer camel ride, the tombs at saqqara) that would have been helpful to know and be able to research in advance of the tour. As it was, we ended up having to skip some of the additional tombs at saqqara in the end due to time. Otherwise, a very a enjoyable day.
