Arrival in Cairo

Memphis and Sakkara - Discover Memphis City, the ancient capital of Egypt, home to the colossal statue of Ramses II and the great Alabaster Sphinx. This city dates back to 3100 B.C.

Afterward, transfer to the train station for an overnight journey to Aswan on a sleeper train, with dinner and overnight accommodations on board.

Arrival in Aswan, Nile Cruise

Aswan - Enjoy breakfast on board before arriving at Aswan Train Station. Meet your guide and transfer directly to the cruise ship for embarkation before lunch at around 12:00 p.m.

The Valley of the Kings is one of the world’s most famous archaeological sites, with over 60 tombs, though only a few are open to the public.

Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari - Visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, known as El Dir El Bahari, built by Queen Hatshepsut, the daughter of Thutmosis I, who ruled Egypt for about 20 years during the 18th Dynasty (approximately 1490-1469 B.C.). She was the only female pharaoh to reign over ancient Egypt. The temple is a remarkable architectural achievement, designed by Senenmut, and resembles classical Greek architecture.

Colossi of Memnon - The Colossi of Memnon are two monumental statues representing Amenhotep III of the 18th Dynasty. Located west of modern Luxor, they face east towards the Nile River. The statues depict the seated king on a throne adorned with imagery of his mother, wife, the god Hapy, and other symbolic engravings. Each statue stands 60 ft (18 meters) high and weighs 720 tons, carved from single sandstone blocks.

Temple of Karnak - Visit Karnak Temple, a grand example of worship dedicated to the God Amon, his wife Mut, and their son Khonsu. The Karnak Temple Complex, near Luxor, is a vast mix of temples, pylons, chapels, and other buildings. Construction began during the reign of Senusret I and continued into the Ptolemaic Kingdom, with most structures dating from the New Kingdom. Karnak is part of the monumental city of Thebes and was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1979.

Luxor Temple - Conclude with a visit to Luxor Temple before transferring to Luxor Train Station for the return journey to Cairo on a sleeper train, with dinner and overnight accommodations on board.
