She was the only female pharaoh to reign over ancient Egypt. The temple is a remarkable architectural achievement, designed by Senenmut, and resembles classical Greek architecture.
Colossi of Memnon - The Colossi of Memnon are two monumental statues representing Amenhotep III of the 18th Dynasty. Located west of modern Luxor, they face east towards the Nile River. Each statue stands 60 ft (18 meters) high and weighs 720 tons, carved from single sandstone blocks.
