• Valley of the Whales (Wadi Al-Hitan) - Situated about 95 km from Fayoum, the Valley of the Whales is in the Wadi El Rayan Protected Area. Recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, it is renowned for the 40-million-year-old whale skeletons discovered there.
• Wadi El Rayan - Known for the Al Rayan Waterfalls, Wadi El Rayan is a natural depression in the western desert. It features two lakes connected by Egypt’s only waterfalls, created in 1970 by the overflow of drainage water from Fayoum’s farmlands.

This trip to Fayoum Oasis will take you to one of Egypt’s most serene oases, abundant in natural treasures and an important collection of historic artifacts and monuments. Transportation to and from the oasis is included and will be in a private, air-conditioned vehicle. A private 4WD jeep tour through the desert is also part of the package, including a professional tour guide, a Bedouin driver, and a visit to the Wadi Hitan or Valley of the Whales protected region. En route to the Wadi El Rayan waterfalls, admire the picturesque Sahara sand dunes, where you can also participate in sand boarding. Following this, we’ll visit the Mudawara Mountain and then return to Cairo.
