Cairo Sightseeing - Train to Aswan

Giza Necropolis - Enjoy breakfast at the hotel in Cairo before checking out. Your personal tour guide will accompany you to the Giza Plateau to visit one of the seven wonders of the ancient world: the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chefren, and Mykerinus, the famous Sphinx, and the Valley Temple facing the great statue. Have lunch at a quality local restaurant, then proceed to visit the Egyptian Museum.

The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities - Explore the Egyptian Museum, including the Treasures Room of the child king Tutankhamen.

Coptic Cairo - Continue your tour to Coptic Cairo to see the Ben Ezra Synagogue and the Hanging Church. In the evening, you will be driven to the area of Islamic Cairo, where you can explore Khan El Khalili, Cairo’s old bazaar. Later, you will be transferred to Ramses train station to board the sleeper train from Cairo to Aswan. Overnight on the train.

Aswan Nile Cruise Tours

Aswan High Dam - Upon arrival at Aswan train station, you will be met and assisted by a Holiday in Egypt Travels representative who will transfer you to embark on your Nile River boat. Enjoy lunch on board, then you will be guided to visit the famous High Dam.

Temple of Philae - Visit the magnificent Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddesses Isis and Hathor, and see the largest known ancient obelisk, located in the northern region of the stone quarries of ancient Egypt.

Unfinished Obelisk - Explore the Unfinished Obelisk. Return to the cruise for dinner on board and overnight in Aswan.

Kom Ombo and Edfu Temples

Temple of Kom Ombo - In the morning, enjoy sailing to Kom Ombo while having breakfast on board. Arrive at Kom Ombo to visit the temple shared by the gods Sobek and Haeroris. Return to your Nile boat to sail to Edfu.

Temple of Horus - In Edfu, have lunch on board, then visit the best-preserved cult temple in Egypt, the Horus Temple. Enjoy afternoon tea while sailing to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.

Luxor Nile Cruise Tours

Valley of the Kings - Early in the morning, sail to Luxor while enjoying breakfast on board. Disembark to visit the West Bank of Luxor, including an excursion to the royal cemetery for 62 Pharaohs, the Valley of the Kings.

Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari - Visit the mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, built by the architects of the New Kingdom Pharaoh Hatshepsut around the 15th century BC, at El-Deir El-Bahari, and see the Colossi of Memnon. Return to the Nile Cruise for lunch on board. Enjoy afternoon tea aboard the Nile boat. Dinner on board and overnight in Luxor.

Luxor Nile Cruise - Train to Cairo

Temple of Karnak - Have breakfast aboard the cruise before disembarkation, then be accompanied by your tour guide to see the Karnak and Luxor temples on the East Bank of Luxor. Later, you will be transferred to Luxor train station to board the sleeper train back to Cairo. Overnight on the train.

Cairo Optional Excursions

Saqqara (Sakkara) Pyramids - Upon arrival at Ramses train station, you will be met and assisted by a Holiday in Egypt Travels representative who will transfer you to your hotel for leisure time (you will check into your room as early as possible). Optional excursions are available in Cairo to visit the Step Pyramid of King Zoser in Sakkara and Memphis. Overnight stay at your hotel in Cairo.

Cairo - Fly Back Home

Cairo Citadel - DAY 8: Cairo - Fly Back Home

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel in Cairo, with free time before your flight. Check out, and then you will be transferred to Cairo International Airport for your final departure.

Outstanding Trip and Organiztion - Madeline organized everything Immaculately. Drivers, Pickups were punctual. The guides minus one were exceptional who were post grads in Egyptian History/Egyptology. They were polite and looked after us very well. The busses/cars provided were all AC and comfortable. The train rude from Cairo to Aswan was more of an experience vs comfort and was 12 hrs long, so recommend a flight. Nile cruise was superb and hotels were 3 star but as only used for sleep, not a big deal as they were clean and hospitable. I will go back as too much to see, and will use Madeljne again. W I had a minor issue on the cruise where the store double charged me in error and Madeline resolved this for me immediately.

Perfectly Planned Egypt Tour from Start to Finish - We had an outstanding experience with the 8-day all-inclusive tour from Holidays in Egypt covering Cairo, Luxor, Edfu and Aswan, including a beautiful Nile cruise from Luxor to Aswan with optional Abu Simbel morning trip, Nubian Village boat ride, and Luxor hot-air balloon excursions. Everything was perfectly organized thanks to our coordinator, Madeline, whose planning and communication before and during our trip were exceptional. Our Cairo guides, Mohamed and Ahmed, were knowledgeable, warm, and incredibly attentive. When the Grand Egyptian Museum closed due to a visit from the president of Turkey, they went above and beyond extending our second day and adjusting plans, so we didn’t miss out. In Aswan, Shady was also excellent and made our visits so informative, smooth and enjoyable. A seamless, well-planned trip and an unforgettable experience covering so many of the top attractions in Egypt. I highly recommend Holidays in Egypt to anyone looking for a seamless, expertly planned visit to this extraordinary country.

Beautifully curated tour, top-notch personal service, terrific insightful guides - Welcoming travel experience and wonderful drivers and guides! Loved our vacation planned by Madeline with Holiday in Egypt Travel. We had a fantastic holiday with excellent planning, responsive communication and personalized services from Madeline. She paid attention to every detail from pick up and assistance from each airport to high- quality accommodations to assisting us through-out the journey including optional excursions. Guides Mohamed in Cairo and Shady in Aswan were both exceptional - illuminating historical mysteries, adding experiences of local life, hustling to get us the best times of day to visit sites etc. They were wonderful ambassadors and insightful, patient, enthusiastic teachers! Egypt was an... - Egypt was an unforgettable experience. From the man made pyramids, the Sphinx and ancient temples to the energy of the bazaars and the friendliness of the people. Egypt is rich with history and culture. The contrast of ancient wonders alongside modern life, (Asawan’s Nubian village that dates back 8000 years to Cairos posh hotels and casinos) made the trip especially memorable. The food, the colors, and the sense of standing in places thousands of years old made this a journey I’ll never forget. Good organised trip - The trip was very well organised from the time of our arrival till departure. For any queries during the trip, Madeline was prompt in response. The Bestest Vacation in Egypt - Madeline 💯 customer service, replying within minutes with any questions. We did Immortal Egypt 9 days .. with extension to HURGHADA . The River Nile cruise was beautiful with extra excursions in Aswan and Luxor. Ancient Horizons 8 days - Overall a good trip . Our guide Hassan Hosny was very happy and knowledgeable . He did a good job managing our group who were great . The tour is very hectic with lots of early starts.. so be prepared . We did some optional extras that contributed to those . The hot air balloon and Abu Simbel were well worth it however. Our cruise ship was not luxurious but adequate with good pool deck . Hotels were good although the Giza one is way out of town. Good value for money
