Great start to our trip to Egypt - Our guide Hazem (and our driver Anwar) made us feel very welcome in his country and city. His energy, laughter and stories made the visits to a beautiful mosque, ancient church and lovely bazaar a great start to our trip to Egypt. He made us taste lots of local dishes and delicacies which made it even more memorable and personal. We loved our first day in Caïro. Hazem, thank you for a lovely day!

Perfect trip in Egypt - This trip was amazing. We managed to see the beautiful architectural of ancient buildings as well as the vibrant colours of Egyptian daily culture and food! We love the trip! As a guide, Hazeem did an excellent job and was exceptional in ensuring that the my family enjoy the experience. He is a guide that represent Egypt’s hospitality to its visitors at the highest level. Down to earth and full of charisma. Look for him if you would like to explore Egypt.

A fascinating and historic tour - My daughter and I had a wonderful time touring Coptic and Islamic Cairo. We visited the historic churches and mosques of Cairo, as well as the Citadel, a fortification built by Saladin in the 1100s. Highlights included the Muhammad Ali Mosque (made of alabaster) and St. Simon Church (in a cave beneath a mountain). Also included were churches along the path taken by the Holy Family during their flight into Egypt. Truly historic!
Our tour was much enhanced by our guide, Zizou, whose knowledge of Islamic, Christian and Ancient Egypt history is truly impressive. Zizou is a friendly and accommodating guide who aims to please. He encouraged questions and readily offered to take pictures, pointing out the best locations. It was our good luck to have him as our guide.

Fantastic day - Thoroughly recommend this tour, we covered a lot of ground, however was very well paced throughout the day. My guide had exceptional knowledge and was able to share with me. Our driver was amazing, very professional throughout the day. Sincerely recommend

WOW! Overwhelmingly Worthwhile Tour (with a kid!) - We booked our tour of Coptic and Islamic Cairo with Deluxe Tours through Viator and can't begin to express how satisfied we are.
We are full-time travelers from the USA that run thepresentperspective.com - a successful family travel blog. On our recent trip to Egypt, we decided to book a private tour of Coptic and Islamic Cairo to learn about the modern religions that fill the biggest city in the Arab World. We weren't sure of what to expect from the tour, but we were very excited nonetheless.
Our guide, Henry, was one of the best tour guides we've ever had. This makes sense, as he has actually been internationally recognized as one of the best Egypt tour guides that there is! He was incredibly kind and patient, as we brought our toddler along on the tour. He carried our son, slowed down the pace of the tour to accommodate us, and was incredibly knowledgeable.
We are devout Catholic, and our faith led us to want to learn about the Coptic traditions in Cairo. Henry was the perfect guide, and his knowledge knows no bounds.
Literally everywhere we went, people recognized him and greeted him. We later found out that it is because HE IS LITERALLY THE TEACHER OF COPTIC CAIRO TOUR GUIDES.
So while you could book a tour with someone else, Henry is the wealth of wisdom that will have taught them.
We had such a great time on our tour, and we highly recommend Deluxe for your trip to Egypt. You will have an amazing time, and it will be worth every penny. If we had more time in Cairo, we'd book more tours with Deluxe to visit other iconic places like the pyamids, Saqqara, and the Egyptian Museum. These guys are the real deal.

Making historical sense of islamic Cairo - We had a very well organized but customizable provate tour of islamic and coptic Cairo. Now this part of Egyptian civilization makes more sense to us!

Completed our understanfing of Egypt. - We had a half day around islamic and coptic Cairo. Islamic Cairo was impressive, the citadel, the mosques. Very old but still active places of worship. This part completes our understanding of Egypt's history, from predynastic times, ancient Egypt, into islamic period.... We also gained z better understanding if the coptic chtistian history. Zanaty was very professional and knowlegable. Thank you!
