Great Sphinx - Next, proceed to the Great Sphinx. This iconic structure, with a pharaoh’s head and a lion’s body, dates back to the era of Chephren. It was crafted to guard King Chefren’s pyramids.
Then, head directly to the Sphinx and its temple to view the massive structure beside it, known as the Temple of Mummification. Capture numerous memorable photos in this area and enjoy a camel ride for about half an hour around the pyramid area, taking in the breathtaking views of this magnificent site and its surroundings. - Pyramids of Giza - Then, hop on a quad bike to explore the majestic Pyramids up close. Ride around the pyramids and admire the splendor of the Pyramids of Cheops, Mykerinus, and Chephren from outside the Pyramid Area.
Afterward, the guide will take you to a local Egyptian restaurant to savor the most delicious and flavorful dishes.
- Saqqara (Sakkara) Pyramids - Continue the day tour to Sakkara, located about 16.5 miles (27 KM) southwest of Cairo. Here, visit the Step Pyramid built for King Zoser, an essential part of the pyramid evolution process, transitioning from a simple mastaba to its well-known form. This segment of the tour will last approximately 2 hours.
- Memphis and Sakkara - Then, continue the day tour to Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt, home to the colossal statue of Ramses II and the Great Alabaster Sphinx. This city dates back to 3100 B.C.
- Cairo - Finally, the agent will transfer you back to the hotel in Cairo or Giza.

Unforgettable experience - My visit to the pyramids and the ancient tombs was an unforgettable experience, made even better by my guide/photographer, Omar, a knowledgeable Egyptologist who brought every site to life with rich context and fascinating stories. Walking through the tombs and standing before structures that have endured for thousands of years gave me a deep appreciation for the history, beliefs, and daily life of ancient Egyptians. I’m so happy I came.

amazing experience! - We had such a amazing experience with our tour guide Doha, she was absolutely amazing and fun to be around, very informative and smart, inspiring and interesting individual without her the experience wouldn’t of been as good as it was, it was a memorable life time experience the food was absolutely filling and tasty, we were also taken to a amazing perfume spot included in our tour which had some incredible scents.

Plenty of fun, but made the carpet stop - Spent a very good day travelling to Memphis, Saqqarah and Giza. The pick up was on schedule, and we didn't waste any time heading out to Memphis. Yasmine was very knowledgable and had answers to all my questions. The quad was plenty of fun (even though we drove past a few carcasses on the way to the dunes).
We did make an "unplanned" stop at a carpet school, but I made it clear I wasn't going to buy anything and we were out in less than 5 minutes. I would have rated 5 stars, but this is just plain misleading and bad practice (and relates to other reviews).

Efficient way of seeing the main sites - This tour was an efficient way of getting around and seeing the main highlights in one day. We were picked up from our hotel in a somewhat battered car (the seat belts were not working) and taken to Saqqara, Memphis and a papyrus “museum” in the morning. The papyrus place was actually interesting since they explained the process of making papyrus paper, and they didn’t push us too hard to buy. Lunch was at a buffet restaurant where we got the opportunity to try several different dishes and desserts. In the afternoon we visited the Giza pyramids and did a short camel ride to get photos of ourselves riding camels in front of the pyramids. The quad bike ride was not offered, but since it wasn’t important to us, we did not ask about it.
Overall, the tour was fine. We got the basic background explained to us at each stop, even though the guide’s English was somewhat hard to understand. After the initial explanation the guide generally left us to walk around independently at each site without him. This was not ideal. For example, my husband got grabbed by a “guard” at the Giza pyramids and he wouldn’t let go until we paid him. This kind of thing doesn’t happen to tourists who have a guide with them.
