- Coptic Cairo - Begin the journey from the chosen location with a Tour Guide, traveling through Cairo to the renowned religious site, Coptic Cairo. This area, part of Old Cairo, includes the Babylon Fortress, the Hanging Church, the Greek Church of St. George, Saints Sergius and Bacchus, and numerous other Coptic churches. According to Christian tradition, the Holy Family sought refuge at the site of Saints Sergius and Bacchus Church to escape the Roman army. With the guide, gain deeper insights into Christianity in Egypt.
- Hanging Church (El Muallaqa, Sitt Mariam, St Mary) - Around Fort Babylon, some of the oldest churches of Egyptian Christians were constructed. This area, a pilgrimage destination for people of various faiths worldwide, features remnants of Roman fortifications. The Hanging Church, one of the oldest, was built atop the Roman towers.
- Church of St. Sergius and Bacchus - The tour proceeds to the Church of St. Sergius and Bacchus, also known as The Cavern Church. It is traditionally believed to be built on the site where the Holy Family—Joseph, Mary, and the infant Jesus—rested at the end of their journey into Egypt. They possibly resided here while Joseph worked at the fortress, making the Cavern Church one of the world’s oldest churches. It holds significant historical importance, being the election site for many Coptic Church patriarchs.
- Synagogue Ben Ezra - The tour continues with a visit to the Ben Ezra Synagogue, located in the Fustat area of Old Cairo, Egypt. Local folklore suggests it is the site where baby Moses was discovered. In the 19th century, the synagogue’s geniza, or storeroom, was found to contain a treasure trove of forgotten Hebrew, Aramaic, and Judeo-Arabic secular and sacred manuscripts.
- Coptic Orthodox Church of St. George (Mari Girgis) - Dedicated to the Greek Orthodox, this church may date back to the 10th century. The current structure was rebuilt after a fire in 1904.
- Khan Al-Khalili - The tour then visits Khan El-Khalili Bazaar, located in Cairo’s historic center. Established during the Mamluk era as a trade hub, the Bazaar offers a wide variety of products, including silver, copper, brassware, gold, and leather goods.
- Al-Hussein Mosque - Near Khan El-Khalili is one of Egypt’s most sacred Islamic sites, the Al-Hussein Mosque, believed to be the burial place of Hussein, the grandson of Prophet Mohammed. The mosque has recently been renovated, providing an excellent opportunity for photography. Afterward, the journey back to the hotel begins.
