Introduction to the Estate/Project of the Biodiverse Development Foundation

Desarrollo Biodiverso - After being picked up at the meeting point in Cali, participants will travel up the mountains to the farm/finca (over 30,000m²). This experience offers an opportunity to connect with nature and embrace a more sustainable lifestyle. By engaging with the Biodiverse Development Foundation (BDF), participants not only enjoy a unique experience but also support the foundation’s goals.

The BDF aims to conserve biodiversity and promote local socio-economic development.

Activities include an introduction to the farm/finca and the BDF project.

The remainder of the day is free time to explore, relax, or engage in activities of choice.

Nature Hike and Permaculture Workshop

Desarrollo Biodiverso - Experience 2 (Day 2) features a nature hike in the reserve and workshops on permaculture and daily farm/estate tasks (feeding animals, caring for the nursery, garden maintenance, composting, etc.). These activities provide a deeper understanding of the estate and BDF’s initiatives, offering valuable knowledge and experience. The rest of the day is free time to explore, relax, or engage in activities of choice.

Hike to Waterfall & Evaluation

Desarrollo Biodiverso - On the third day, a guided hike leads participants through lush forest trails to a stunning waterfall. Upon arrival, participants can enjoy a refreshing swim or simply take in the vibrant natural surroundings. Following this relaxing moment, lunch will be served, if available, at a nearby finca, offering a taste of local rural cuisine. After lunch, the journey continues back to the BDF finca, where a brief evaluation will take place before returning to Cali or continuing the experience with us.
