- Callao - At 10:00 a.m., participants will gather at Calle La Mar to board a speedboat for an exciting tour of the Callao islands.
During the journey, the group will explore the South Pacific, marveling at rock formations and observing local fishing activities. The tour includes a visit to El Camotal, an island submerged by an earthquake, with remnants visible at low tide.
The tour will approach San Lorenzo, known as the “mysterious island,” famous for its naval base, cemeteries of Chilean soldiers, and over 20 pre-Inca archaeological sites. From the boat, participants will also view El Fronton Island, notable for the ruins of its prison, which held Shining Path prisoners in the 1980s.
The journey will continue to the Cavinzas Islands, home to a significant colony of Humboldt penguins, and will circle the Palomino Islands, where the ecosystem of guano birds and over 8,000 sea lions can be observed. Those interested may swim among these animals.
The tour will conclude at 1:00 p.m. at the meeting point in Callao.

Thanks to Gabriela, this experience became even more special and unforgettable - Visiting the Palomino Islands was, without a doubt, one of the most extraordinary and unforgettable experiences I have ever had. From the moment we set off on the boat, I knew this adventure was going to be something truly special. The feeling of being out on the open sea, surrounded by fresh ocean air and stunning coastal views, was already incredible—but nothing compared to what was waiting for us.
Seeing the sea lions in their natural habitat was simply breathtaking. There were so many of them, resting on the rocks, playing in the water, and interacting with each other in the most natural and beautiful way. But the most magical moment of all was getting into the water and swimming alongside them. At first, I felt a mix of excitement and nerves, but the experience quickly turned into pure joy. The sea lions were curious, playful, and completely captivating. Being so close to them, watching how gracefully they moved through the water, made me feel deeply connected to nature in a way I had never experienced before.

Thank you, Helen - The boat tour to the Palomino Islands was an absolutely incredible experience and one of the highlights of my trip. From the moment we set off, the ride itself was exciting, with beautiful views of the ocean and the coastline. Seeing the islands up close was amazing, especially with the large number of sea lions resting on the rocks and swimming around freely in their natural habitat.
The best part of the tour was definitely the opportunity to swim with the sea lions. It was such a unique and unforgettable experience to be in the water with them, watching how playful and curious they are. It felt safe, well-organized, and truly magical.
