Wat Samrong Knong - The tour continues to Wat Samrong Knong, where visitors will see an ancient Buddhist temple built over 300 years ago, which served as a prison during the Pol Pot regime. The operator will provide insights into the Pol Pot regime and religion. Guests can also visit The Well of Shadows (killing field) to see the remains of victims from the regime, where 10,008 people were killed. The tour includes a visit to small villages and the countryside to observe local livelihoods, such as families making bamboo sticky rice, rice paper for spring rolls, and dried bananas. Guests can sample these snacks and visit the fish paste market (Cambodian cheese) for a short walk.

Prasat Ek Phnom - The tour will visit Ek Phnom Temple, one of Battambang’s oldest ruined temples, built at the beginning of the 11th century, predating Angkor Wat. Visitors will also see a large Buddha statue near the temple ruins.

Odambang - Guests will have the opportunity to ride the original bamboo train, possibly for the last time, as the government plans to close it soon. The ride costs $5 per person and offers views of small villages and the countryside.

Phnom Sampeau - This mountain, known as Phnom Sampeau, features the killing cave and bat cave. Visitors will see the cave where victims were pushed to their deaths during the Pol Pot regime, with over ten thousand people killed. Real skulls and bones are visible inside the stupa. After exploring the cave, guests can ascend the mountain for a stunning view and visit the Buddhist pagoda. Note: There are many monkeys, and guests should keep a safe distance as some can be aggressive. Options to reach the mountain top include walking, motorbike, or pickup truck.

Battambang Bat Caves - At this cave, guests will witness millions of bats flying out, resembling a long dragon. This spectacle lasts 30 to 40 minutes. After the bat cave, the operator will return guests to their hotel.
