• Koh Ker Temple - Embark on a journey to Koh Ker, the former 10th-century capital of the Angkorian Empire. Koh Ker was left hidden in the forest for many years due to civil wars. After a scenic two-hour drive through the picturesque rural landscapes of Cambodia, the Koh Ker ruins are reached. The visit begins at Prasat Thom, entering through the main gateway, flanked by atmospheric sanctuaries. Stroll along a serpent-lined causeway to Prasat Krahorm, the “red brick temple,” where nearby libraries and reservoirs can be found. Finally, arrive at Prasat Thom, the “centerpiece,” a large seven-level pyramid constructed of sandstone, standing 45 meters tall. Climbing to the upper terrace offers panoramic views of the jungle. Explore other surrounding temples, as archaeologists believe there may be over 100 temple ruins in the area awaiting discovery. On the return journey, stop to visit O-thma Dab, “the place where the ancient Khmer people sourced stones to build Angkor Wat.”
• Ancient Quarry - Visit the site where ancient Khmer people cut stones to construct Angkor Wat. Hundreds of stones were cut and left there. The tour guide will explain the stone-cutting techniques and transportation methods used to build Angkor Wat.
• Preah Vihear Temple - Offering a view of many kilometers across a plain, Prasat Preah Vihear boasts the most spectacular setting of all the temples built during the six-century-long Khmer Empire. As a significant edifice of the empire’s spiritual life, it was supported and modified by successive kings, incorporating elements of several architectural styles. Preah Vihear is unique among Khmer temples, being constructed along a long north–south axis, rather than the conventional rectangular plan oriented toward the east. The temple lends its name to Cambodia’s Preah Vihear province, where it is now located. On July 7, 2008, Preah Vihear was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The guide will lead a tour of the temple, home to many carvings depicting scenes such as the famous churning of the sea of milk. The day concludes with a return to Siem Reap after a memorable exploration.

We’ll visit Koh Ker and other beautiful temple surrounding it. After lunch at a Local restaurant, we drive through the countryside, rice Fields, and Villages to the Preah Vihear temple.

You’ll wander the magnificent mountain temple of Preah-Vihear. The temple overlooks the Cambodia plain and presents some impressive views.
