• Beng Mealea - Beng Mealea Temple, also known as the Temple of Lotus Pond, is a prominent edifice from the Angkor Wat era, located about 77 km from Siem Reap by road. Built in the early 12th century during the reign of King Suriyavaraman II, this temple was initially established as a Hindu sanctuary dedicated to the god Vishnu. Recognizing its cultural significance, Beng Mealea Temple was included in the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List on March 27, 2020.

• Kor Ker Temple - Koh Ker is an important yet secluded archaeological site in northern Cambodia, situated roughly 120 kilometers from Siem Reap and the famous Angkor complex. This area, marked by thick jungle and sparse population, contains over 180 sanctuaries within a protected zone covering 81 square kilometers. However, only about two dozen of these monuments are open to visitors, as many sanctuaries remain hidden within the forest.

The name “Koh Ker” is the modern term for a significant city from the Khmer Empire era. Historical records refer to this city as Lingapura (meaning “city of lingams”), Chok Gargyar (“city of glance”), or as the “iron tree forest.”
