The adventure starts with a leisurely walk around the Cape Tourville Lighthouse circuit. This 20-minute walk, one of Tasmania’s Great Short Walks, offers stunning 360-degree views of the coastline.

Wineglass Bay Lookout - After packing lunch, the group embarks on a walk to the Wineglass Bay Lookout. This moderate uphill walk takes about 60 minutes. At the top, the iconic view of Wineglass Bay and the beautiful Freycinet National Park awaits. Relish the moment, enjoy the scenery, and let the guide assist with capturing those perfect photos. The walk to Wineglass Bay Lookout is among Tasmania’s Great Short Walks, requiring good mobility and fitness. It is a 1.3 km uphill trek, followed by a downhill return.

Wineglass Bay - From the Lookout, choose to return with the tour guide or, for avid hikers, continue to Wineglass Bay beach. The Wineglass Bay Beach hike is a 2.5-hour round trip, requiring good fitness. The tour allows ample time to complete the hike to Wineglass Bay Beach and back. On the beach, enjoy lunch in this picturesque setting, swim in the clear waters, or stroll along the white sands. This is one of Tasmania’s most rewarding walks to a breathtaking location.

Honeymoon Bay - For those opting for a shorter walk, return from the Lookout with the Tour Guide and enjoy a relaxing afternoon at Honeymoon Bay.
The group reconvenes for the return trip. The final stop on the East Coast is the beautiful Devil’s Corner Winery, where the magnificent view can be savored. On-site, indulge in wine tasting, wood-fired pizza, fresh seafood, and ice creams, all available at personal expense. The journey then continues back to Launceston, arriving around 6:00 pm.

This specific excursion travels to Wineglass Bay & Freycinet National Park, where there are chances to savor local seafood, ice-cream, and experience some history. Our schedule for the day is jam-packed and dynamic, aimed at incorporating as many activities as possible, such as hiking, sightseeing, and numerous pit stops. We also have shorter walking plans in place for those desiring a less strenuous day.

- Minimum age to participate in tour is 8 years
- A small amount of walking is involved; a suitable level of general health & fitness and physical abilities is essential
- We provide accurate interpretation, and keep wildlife disturbance to a minimum by viewing from appropriate distances and informing our guests how to view wildlife with patience and respect. Activities are always confined to tracks and boardwalks to minimize negative impacts.
- Hotel pickup time is between 7:00am and 7:30am depending on your location. Hotel pickup is available from central city Hotels and Hostels ( no AirBnB’s). Please arrange pickup from your hotel at least 48 hours prior to departure with the tour operator.
