Delightful overview of Campeche! - What a wonderful afternoon with Hector! His passion for his hometown of Campeche was evident as he took us all throughout the old walled city. It was a fantastic overview of the history and culture of Campeche, sprinkled with unexpected peeks into the courtyards of old homes and historic buildings. We also got some excellent restaurant recommendations from Hector that we tried out the next day - delicioso!

A TRUE LOCAL GUIDE - Ricardo is a true local guide. Very knowledgeable about the history of his hometown (SFO Campeche). He explained some parts and took us to some museums that we would have otherwise overlooked in our time here. You can also tell by the way he was received everywhere that he is very loved here. He also blessed us with some great local treats. All in all, I would recommend this tour to start your time in Campeche.

I am 69. I wanted to visit Campeche all my life. I am glad I did it. - Old Town Campeche is small, cozy. Safe. Best food is at La Aduana. Avoid La Parroquia. Two days is more than enough. I took the Maya Train from Merida; 2:30 hours. 688 pesos in First Class one way. 55 pesos for the bus to the Malecón.
