Temple of ERA - The Archaeological Park of Selinunte, located on the southwestern coast of Sicily, is one of the largest and most fascinating archaeological sites in the Mediterranean. Walking among its ruins means immersing yourself in a journey back in time of over 2,500 years, when Selinunte was a powerful Greek colony, strategically placed between sea and plain. The park is extensive and well-organized, with paths winding through Doric temples, acropolises, necropolises and remains of the ancient walls. The atmosphere is made unique by the intense light of Sicily and the scent of the sea that crashes not far away, creating a suggestive combination of history and nature.

Clamber around - Stunning temple site with plenty to clamber around. Wear tennis shoes! Allow a little time for a beer at the cafe. Great at sunset.

A wonderful journey back in time. - In the Province of Trapani, in Castelvetrano, there is the splendid archaeological site of ancient Selinunte. The temple you meet first is dedicated to Athena, majestic and still well preserved. You can admire column after column, capital after capital. It is difficult to remain indifferent, especially when you think of how many centuries have passed and, although time has not been forgiving due to the carelessness of previous centuries, you can not fail to appreciate and admire these unique, rare and incredible masterpieces. The park is huge. Moving up the hill to visit the Acropolis you can see the sea as a backdrop or frame, unique in its kind. The route is easy but, for those who have difficulty in locomotion, or simply for the lazy, there is the possibility to move from one temple to another with the golf cart and a train, which however was not yet active in April. And last but not least, inside the park you can admire the splendid Baglio dei Florio, inside which there is a small but interesting museum.

Wonderful Sicily - Wonderful archaeological park an2 steps from the sea with remains of temples necropolis and beautiful acropolis. You can visit on foot, renting bicycles or with the internal shuttle service. I recommend spending at least half a day at the visit given the breadth.

Wonderful experience! - Wonderful place, walking among these archaeological finds I highly Recommendation. There are two points not to be missed, the first temple you see and the one overlooking the sea. Undoubtedly it tries to understand why they managed to create these wonders with the means they possessed at the time. You can make the visit with a Guide, on your own with self-guide to understand each structure and also rent bicycles. If you are too tired in front of the museum you will find a sort of train that will take you to the temple overlooking the sea and when you wish to return to your car a trennino of bright colors will leave you in the exit. Experience to do absolutely

The welcome, the fantastic site maintenance operation, the expertise - A sincere thanks to the Archaeological Park of Selinunte At the end of my visit to the magnificent Archaeological Park of Selinunte, I would like to express my sincerest gratitude to the staff, reception service and ticketing staff. My applause goes out to all of you for the exceptional care and attention you show every day. Care of decorum and exemplary cleanliness It is absolutely not obvious that an archaeological park of such importance and vastness maintains such a high level of decorum and cleanliness. I could appreciate the impeccable cleanliness of every corner of the park, from the paths to the rest areas, to the bathrooms, always neat and well maintained. I found no brush, cigarette butts or papers on the floor: everything is taken care of in every detail. Welcome with a smile The smile of the staff is something that particularly impressed me. Every member of staff, from the reception to the caretakers, conveys a sense of joy and passion for their work, making the visitor experience even more enjoyable. It is a pleasure to be able to say that the Archaeological Park of Selinunte travels beyond the limits of temporality and physicality of time, approaching with great strides towards a perfection that we often imagine only in areas very far from us. An example of excellence The management and maintenance of the Archaeological Park of Selinunte are an example of excellence and dedication. Thanks to your commitment, this place not only preserves its priceless historical heritage, but also offers a comfortable and serene visiting experience, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the beauty and history of ancient Selinunte. Conclusion I want to thank once again all the park staff for their amazing work. Your dedication and professionalism make the Archaeological Park of Selinunte a unique place, where past and present meet in perfect harmony. Keep it up, and know that your efforts are deeply appreciated by all those lucky enough to visit this wonderful site. Thank you very much. Nice family experience - Nice family experience: the visit was enjoyed by both me and my wife and my children, it was also fun because we did the whole tour renting bikes and following the audio guides included. Doing it by bike the ride was also not tiring compared to doing it all on foot. Improved management of admissions and online bookings.

Disappointing - Visit performed on 26 September. Arrived at the entrance at 1 p.m. Entrance ticket € 17,00. We ask for audio guides and they say they can’t give them to us, because it’s too late (the park closes at 5pm 🤨🤔😡). Then they tell us that the park is vast, then we ask for bikes. Admission and bikes cost € 40.00 but there is can rent them, always for the same reason 🤔🤨😡. So they propose electric cars, but we don't care. So we make the visit on foot and without guides (luckily there is some sign). In the end we understand little and we see only a temple and a colonnade, upright, everything else lies ruinously on the ground, without any care. The only augmented reality station is down. Disappointing visit.
