Journey along the picturesque Bow Valley Parkway, a route renowned for its wildlife encounters. At the canyon’s entrance, a certified guide will escort you through majestic limestone cliffs, over suspended walkways, and past Johnston Creek’s turquoise waters, now transformed into sparkling ice. The first stop is the Lower Falls, where winter morphs the flowing water into stunning frozen sculptures.
From this point, you can embark on a self-guided hike to the Upper Falls. In winter, this 30-meter (90-foot) waterfall becomes a magnificent frozen curtain, offering a breathtaking view and an ideal photo opportunity in the tranquil silence of the canyon.
To ensure safety and comfort, ice cleats and hiking poles are provided, allowing for confident exploration. After the hike, enjoy complimentary hot beverages on board, a perfect way to celebrate an unforgettable winter adventure in Banff National Park.
