Fantastic, adventurous , cultural day! - Marcos was an amazing guide, I didn’t want to zip line so he hiked with me while my friends did it. Teaching about the environment. Loved meeting Caramelo The ox and learning about the sugar can process, how they prepare foods, liquor etc. The lunch was delicious! Fantastic day - well worth the $! !

Gorgeous hot springs; excellent experience - Jose was great! We loved his presentation. Especially the fascinating info about mozote. The coffee, empanadas, tortilla dulce and rosquillas were muy rico! Then it was time for lunch -- delicious, very flavorful casado. Afterward we spent the entire afternoon lounging in the hot springs. Every employee we spoke with was very friendly and helpful. The river next to the hot springs is beautiful. The flowers along the paths are gorgeous. And we saw blue morpho butterflies throughout the day 🤩

Great visit/proposal - It was amazing! So enriching to hear the history of Costa Rica through the cultural experience. I really loved the coffee tasting. Lunch was so good. I had the vegetarian option. Then the hot spring was the best part! Not only was the hot spring beautiful and felt amazing, but the staff helped my brother proposed to his girlfriend by the waterfall! It was so special and she was genuinely surprised! It was the best day!

Vandara is a Must See! - Vandara was a fun excursion from Tamarindo where we were staying for the week. It was about 2.5 hour drive which allowed us to acclimate to the area. The grounds of Vandara are pure tropical beauty. The lunch included on the ticket is magnificent. All the Vandara employees are helpful and enthusiastic about their responsibility of creating a positive experience for the guest. The cultural presentation is not to be missed--such information & samples!! As far as the springs, the first on was not all that warm, but lovely to swim in. The volcanic mud portion was so fun, but dig deep to get the thick stuff! The second hot spring was very warm and overlooked the little waterfall. A magical view! I went in the river under the falls. One just need to be cautious navigating the rocks. We did not go in the actual swimming pool or try the bar, but they looked lovely.

COSTA RICA MUST DO - SIMPLY AMAZING. The pick up ON TIME, The crew was very knowledgeable, answered all our questions about Costa Rican culture, food, politics, every area that we passed on the way there we asked about and they answered. Once there, every worker was on point from food, to just being on the lookout for us every step of the way. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Vandara Adventure Center day of fun - The ride was around 1.5 hours to the Vandara Adventure Center from the Riu hotels. These staff here did a fantastic job. We started off with a lesson in Costa Rican culture, which included sampling of local liquor, coffee and fresh made pastry. We had a 20 minute horseback ride up the mountain to our first of 8 ziplines. The ziplines were varied in length, speed and height. Our whole family really enjoyed it, even my 8 year old. The only negative with the horse riding and ziplines was due to the size of the group we were put with. There was a lot of waiting. After ziplining, we changed into swimsuits and rode the water slide. This was a long slide that wove through the trees. I enjoyed it, but some thought it was too rough of a ride. Lunch was served after the slide, which seemed too late in the day, we were hungry! The food was only ok.. It was a short walk down the hill to the thermal pools. There are 2 pools, we only used the one that was hot tub temperature. They had volcanic mud available in pots to smear on your body/face for supposed skin care. You had the option to shower it off or climb in the river and wash off under a beautiful waterfall. The walk back up the hill may be tough for older or out of shape travelers. The areas around the pools can also be slippery.
