Chichen Itza, Cenote, and Valladolid Tour - The Chichen Itza, Cenote, and Valladolid Tour with Tequila and Lunch was absolutely phenomenal! "Sexy Marcela" and her team were incredibly fun, energetic, and easygoing. Her passion for Mayan culture, knowledge of the site, and engaging storytelling made the trip so educating, she gave us so much insight into the history and meaning behind what we were about to see. Sexy Marcela truly made the trip an unforgettable one, she's a fantastic, educated, and experienced tour guide. I wholeheartedly recommend her and her amazing team!!!

Amigo Travels visit to the Pyramid and Cenote - This trip was amazing and very well organised! Special thanks for Frank, Ray and the Bus Driver Julio 🙂 Pickup from our hotel lobby was on time. Mayan history told by Frank on the Bus on very helpful. 1 hour guided tour by Ray was very good. Everything was explained in advanced and not rushed. I would definitely recommend this Tour to my friends and family. Tip: 1. Buy the all inclusive ticket and you dont have to purchase anything else. 2. Try the Cheese Ice cream at Valloid town. 3. Bring water with you but you purchase on route. 4. Bring an umbrella incase it rains or it's too sunny. 5. Can take a small bag or rucksack no problem, just open for inspection before you enter. 6. We booked the 8AM Tour so had breakfast beforehand. 7. Bring some cash but most vendor accepted Card. 8. Buffet lunch was good, lots of options but take some snacks if you want. 9. Take flip flops to walk from the Lockers to the Cenote, you can leave them on the side just before you walk down the stairs to the Cenote. 10. It's a long day so have Fun! 🙂

Our experience with... - Our experience with Tomas, francisco and Julio the driver was amazing. Tomas was very entertaining and knowledgeable. Make sure you bring flip flops to walk to the cenote! We were only wearing sport shoes and we were regretting not bringing flip flops

Johnny Cash and Roberto... - Johnny Cash and Roberto were great guides! The first stop at the cenote was cool, refreshing and scenic. We bought some tequila from a local vendor. The pathway down to the cenote is rocky and they don't let you wear shoes, so be careful of cutting your feet. Not sure why they didn't lay down some rubber mats or wooden planks. It's actually really easy to cut your feet, especially if you slip. The underground cenote itself is beautiful; the water temperature is perfect to cool off from the heat. The second stop was in a small village with a large church and cute park. We got some ice cream from a nearby shop and took pictures on the "lovers" seats. It was only a short 30 min stop due to local parking restrictions. The third stop was Chichen Itza. Even in April, it was sweltering hot. Bring lots of water, a parasol/sunhat, sunscreen, breezy clothing, etc. The vendors are mostly tourist traps. Our guide Jonathan gave a friendly warning about the common vendor tactics. There are certainly great finds to be had though. There was a backpack vendor offering great prices for unique cactus fiber/cotton blend backpacks in various colours. The temple itself and the surrounding buildings had some interesting history Johnny educated us on. There were a few extra fees not included in the tour price. We had to pay an extra 10 USD per person for pickup at Bluebay Grand Esmeralda since it was outside the regular pickup zone. The Chichen Itza entry tax was about 40 USD per person. Cenote life jacket/locker rental was another 10 USD per person.

scam tours - Information was so misleading. I chose English tour but it was also in Spanish which wouldn't have been a problem but the guide spoke much more Spanish than English so it was hard to understand what the guide was saying since I am not native English speaker. And I mean he only spoke like few words English sometimes a few sentence. We didn't even go to Valloidid. However, there were protestors, so that was fair. The main problem was when I booked pick up from the hotel and I got whatsapp message saying that it will happen. It made me believe that everything is under control. Later they informed me that my pick up place would be 20 km away from my hotel because they had sent me one email where I had to give my email adress. The problem was that whatsapp message didn't tell me anything about it. So I had to take an uber even though I had booked day before and paid everything already. I left many emails but they didn't answer. When I finally called they said that nothing can be done because it was already over 1pm ( I called 2pm). I messaged them even night before but no answers. I think this company just want to rip off from customers. They surely don't care about customers. I should have believed bad reviews. So don't make the same mistake as I did. Chichen Itza was very beautiful though and I am so grateful I got the chance to see it.

Waste of time - We got a message the night before the tour that we would not be able to visit the town of Valladolid due to unforeseen circumstances/protests in the area, however our tour guide told us this has been on going for 2 weeks. so instead of changing itinerary or informing us about this in advance they decided to waste extra time at the pyramids site. The whole tour did not need to be 14 hours long. Moreover the food at the lunch spot was absolutely horrible and disgusting and the drinks were not even included, not even water.
