Could not recommend this experience more! Thank you so much!! - Transport from our resort and into the boat was super easy! Our guide Marcel was charismatic and gave clear instruction! We had a few stragglers but our guide was able to keep us all together while still showing us lots of under water sites.

Great Place For Fun On The Water! - I booked the Jungle Snorkel Tour and the Skyrider Parasailing tour with the help of Fernando and Julian at the Fiesta Americana Condesa Cancun location. Both gentlemen were very helpful with explaining the tours and helping book them as a package deal to save money. Aquaworld was just across the street from FACC, so getting there was a short walk. The cost of the activities seemed reasonable to me. There are package deals for multiple activities that help save money. The tours themselves were awesome! The boat ride on the Jungle tour was fun and the snorkeling was great. I had never been snorkeling before and our guide showed us all how to do it. The Parasailing was the best. It was a very peaceful and serene experience. It is very quiet in the gondola. On a previous visit, I booked the Subsea tour and the Isla Majeres Tour. They were absolutely worth it! I would definitely recommend Aquaworld for things to do while in Cancun!

Amazing speedboat tour and snorkeling 😍 - I dont usually write reviews BUT I went today (24/04) and oh my what an excursion it was! Cebe was absolutely awesome and didnt rush us, he really was fab! Clear instructions in English and Spanish. I even tried snorkeling for the first time with a fear of going in the sea. Crystal blue waters with lots of fish swimming around our boats. This is a must trip! Do it! You won't regret regret it. I paid for our photo which came in a nice wooden frame for 350 pesos (£13.50) brilliant quality and clear photo. Highly recommend!

Love to the Mya Rivera - We had an amazing time with this tour. We visited 3 cenotes and our tour guide Jessica was amazing!!! The team took such great care of us and catered to our little group. We had several people who had back injuries in our tour group and they were extra careful with the activities! Absolutely loved this experience and being able to visit such magical ancient cenotes! Would highly recommend. The food was also really delicious, a bit spicy but good and real genuine tacos from the heart of the maya rivera.

Boating and snorkeling - fun excursion! - This was a super fun, excellent excursion!
You get to drive your own speed boat (well, two people per boat so you and your spouse or buddy need to take turns), through open water, then slowly through mangroves area, then again through open water. You get to snorkel for quite a while where we saw many schools of fish on the reef. Was a very nice snorkel. Water was lovely. Then you boat all the way back again. Was super fun.
You need to pay a $20USD eco fee for the protected park but if you do more than one excursion that requires it, keep your bracelet on because it's good for your whole trip not just that one excursion. I paid the fee to go scuba diving the day before and so I didn't have to pay it again when we went on this boat tour.
The mangroves area is really pretty, we saw some herons which was cool.
I think the name "jungle tour" is a little misleading, you are never in or near a "jungle". You just drive through some mangroves. Beautiful and fun nonetheless.

Could use some tweaks, but thoroughly enjoyed the two excursions we went on! - We did two excursions with Aquaworld and I did thoroughly enjoy both of them, however there were pros and cons of both!
We did the Jungle Tour and the day tour of Isla Mujeres.
Jungle Tour:
- Super fun 2 hour excursion that you got to drive your own yellow speedboat through a bunch of mangroves and to a spot where you get tied together with a bunch of other speedboats and then go snorkelling in the area. The water is calm and clear and it makes for a great experience for someone who has never snorkelled before! We saw lots of different varieties of fish and it was an awesome experience. I wish it lasted longer, to be honest.
- The only con for this excursion was that, while it’s called a “jungle tour”, the only “jungle” you see is driving through the mangroves. So if you’re hoping to see a bunch of different jungle animals, don’t get your hopes up too much.
Isla Mujeres day excursion:
- This excursion was so fun. You ride on a catamaran with an open bar and music to Isla Mujeres. The catamaran will stop in an area where you get to go snorkelling, and it was not a great experience when compared to the jungle tour. After that, you get to spend some time at a resort area that is on the island which also had included food and drinks (though the drink selection is limited). After that, you get to go into downtown Isla Mujeres and your options are to rent a golf cart, take taxis, or walk, and you get full reign to explore the island for the 2.5 hours before you have to be back at the catamaran. I HIGHLY recommend renting a golf cart in this situation as it gives you so much more flexibility to explore, go shopping, see the Mayan Ruins, etc. When you return, you go back on the catamaran and return to Cancun by 5 pm and by that point you are exhausted from a fun-filled day.
- There are two main cons I found for this excursion:
1) The snorkelling. Much less enjoyable as you are out in the ocean much further and so wave action is more intense. This pushes the group together often and rather than seeing marine life below the water, instead you’re spending time getting slapped in the face by the swimming flippers of a person that just got pushed into you by waves. I recommend the jungle tour as a better snorkelling experience.
2) We spent way too much time at the resort area at Isla Mujeres. It was nice to stop there for lunch and a few drinks and relax, but after 45 min to an hour, I was ready to head to downtown and do my own exploring, but unfortunately the catamaran didn’t return to pick us up until 1:40 (this is around 2.25 hours after we arrive). I feel the time would have been nicer to be given to us as extra time to explore Isla Mujeres in the afternoon, rather than only getting 2-2.5 hours, we could have 3-4 hours which would have allowed an even more in-depth exploration time.
Overall, I give Aquaworld a 4/5 simply because I feel the itinerary could have been better for the Isla Mujeres tour and the snorkelling maybe could have been in a calmer area like it was for the jungle tour. The jungle tour also could have had a bit longer time for snorkelling as I felt it was a little rushed. But I still would highly recommend doing excursions when down in Cancun as it really enhanced my experience of being down south instead of did just staying in the all-inclusive resort the entire week.

If your activity is cancelled due to adverse conditions - get a refund, don't book on something else - We arrived on a Sunday and initially booked the subseer and snorkelling for the Wednesday, but this got cancelled due to the sea being too rough which would have made the underwater view not clear. We rebooked for a day when the staff advised the weather would be better for this activity, however this got canceled again oil the morning we'd booked. So we changed to the Jungle tour without snorkelling, as were advised that again the conditions would not be right for it.
We arrived at Aquaworld at the designated time and saw that there were other groups that were doing both the speedboat tour and snorkelling, so we were somewhat annoyed.
Our jungle tour just took us around the edge of the lagoon, with views of hotels and buildings, there was a short trip through some mangroves, we saw little wildlife on the tour - there was more on our hotel grounds than on the tour.
In hindsight, I think they squeezed us in so as not to have to refund for the cancelled subseer tour so we didn't get the proper jungle tour experience. When I fed this back to the guy at the Aquaworld hut on our hotel poolside, he just shrugged - no apology for our poor experience or that fact that we were told no snorkelling yet there were others doing that, only "that's just what we can do in the short time".

Not a safe experience - Not sure why this is called a “jungle tour” as you’re definitely not boating through a jungle. You drive a small yellow boat through a channel with some vegetation. That part was fine. The snorkeling experience not so good. The ocean was extremely choppy and hard to snorkel. The WORST part was that there was no ladder to get back on your boat!! It took three people to pull me up out of the water and was a horrible experience!! My husband had to help another couple back in their boat. The tour guide was useless and rude. I wouldn’t recommend! Not safe at all!!
