The walk to Cais do Sardinha is one of the recommended routes on the island. It begins in the beautiful Baía d ‘Abra and takes you along 4 km, through a peninsula of virgin and basaltic landscapes. - Miradouro da Ponta do Rosto - A walk to the viewpoint of Ponta do Rosto offers one of the best views of the whole island. From this point, you can contemplate the natural cuts of the north and south coast of the island.

You can have a light meal at Caniçal with typical sandwiches or “doses.” In the afternoon, a 4x4 beaten track will take you to see the UNESCO forest at Funduras and Portela, and you’ll travel serpentine roads to Santa Cruz, passing by local villages and old terraces. The price of the boat trip is not included in the tour; it costs an extra €20.00 per person.
