Medicine Lake - Situated in Maligne Valley, Medicine Lake is formed by the Maligne River. As the river flows towards the Athabasca River, it pools up to form the lake over a series of underground limestone caves. The water drains through these sinkholes to reappear at Maligne Canyon.
