Recommended age for participation fluctuates depending on water height.

Exhilarating - Exhilarating,fun, and George was an awesome guide. Very knowledgeable about the history and nature of the gorge. The water was a little
low so a lot of rocks were exposed. It just made the trip more interesting.

Fantastic experience - Sam C is an amazing guide. She's super down to earth, and an excellent guide. We ran into a number of obstacles as is to be expected on a white water rafting trip and she guided us through each of them with confidence. I do this again in a heartbeat!

Raft with the Masters! - George, our guide, made our trip informative, safe, enjoyable and so fun , it left us wanting to do more rafting!
During our van ride to launching point on river, George filled us in on all safety aspects and before getting in van he ensured our life jackets fit properly.
Once in water we were shown how to properly sit in boat and what was expected of us so we would be safe and get maximum enjoyment out of our trip.
Between the spectacular views of the Gorge and the thrill of navigating class 4 rapids, the ride was everything one could hope for and then some!

Scary Fun - Went with Friends and Family. Teens had own boat - Parents on another.
Guides George and Mike, aka Spicoli (yes like Fast Times at Ridgemont High).
Great Package.
My teen and spouse will go again next summer. I'm one and done. A little too adventurous for me. Think Bighorn would have been more my style.
Fun photo package - makes me look more adventurous than I actually am :)
We always felt safe - guides know their work. Some of us fell out at one point and Mike calmy helped and talked us through helping one another.
I was not offered a wetsuit though. Wish I remembered it was part of our package. I was soaking wet and cold - and glad I brought a dry set of clothes. You will get wet! You will have fun!
Burger was yummy - friendly grill master.

Wild Ride - Had a blast! We did about 8 class 4 rapids and saw 10 bighorn sheep! All of the staff are professional and friendly. Look forward to doing it again.

So much more than I expected!!! - I will admit that I had to be talked into participating in this adventure as I'm not a skilled swimmer and "dangerous" water activities give me HIGH ANXIETY.... but Kerra was amazing at handling a whole group of newbies, making sure we were safe and enjoyed the best views the river had to offer. She did have to get a little firm with us and let us know that if we didn't learn to work together, that we were going to fall off or flip the raft, but we were finally able to get into a groove and we didn't have any issues. We even got to surf (which we didn't even know was a rare thing until she explained it to us!) I would highly recommend this company and especially Kerra (she's got skills)!!!! Thanks Raft Masters for employing such great guides.

Thank you Marcus - We had a great time today. Marcus, our guide was fantastic. I would definitely recommend anyone thinking about going to sign up. We saw a herd of bighorn sheep along the mountainside that was a great experience by itself.

Do the Royal Gorge with your teens! - We had a blast! RonJohn was our guide and he was awesome! We could hear his commands and he told us all about the river and area when there was a slightly slow part. Our teenage Granddaughters lived it! The scenery is cool and we saw 3 different Big Horn sheep, and a squirrel high on the rocks. We all had a wave at the Royal Gorge train too. Free pictures this year too! Kids got in the water for a short swim too! Awesome!

Nice rafting but you know what they are saying about a free lunch - The rafting through the canyon is great, but what it makes it specials is the guide. We were lucky, small group who all wanted to peddle and were not afraid, and the guide responded to that. Choosing some more difficult passages and making it overall a munch nicer experience then some of the other groups got. Thanks George!
After the tour you can get a free lunch. But the burger was such bad quality (coated with black sooth due to filthy bbq. So that was the one negative note
