The first destination is the Assin Manso Slave Ancestral River Site, where enslaved ancestors took their final bath before being transported to Cape Coast and Elmina castles for their final departure.
Following Assin Manso, the journey continues to Cape Coast Castle to delve into the main history of the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade Era and witness the DOOR OF NO RETURN.
After exploring the castle, there is an opportunity to enjoy a hike to Kakum National Park and experience the Canopy Walk. Prepare for an exhilarating yet physically challenging (15-20 minute) hike through a dense rainforest. Participants will ascend a hill, so it is recommended to wear sporty shoes, sneakers, and bring a face towel for the forest hike.
