The journey begins at the Assin Manso Slave Ancestral River Site, where enslaved ancestors took their final bath before being transported to Cape Coast and Elmina castles for their eventual departure.
Following Assin Manso, the tour proceeds to Cape Coast Castle, where participants will learn about the history of the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade and witness the DOOR OF NO RETURN.
After exploring the castle, the adventure continues with a hike to Kakum National Park, featuring a thrilling Canopy Walk. Prepare for an exhilarating yet challenging 15-20 minute hike through a dense rainforest. Participants will ascend a hill, so it is recommended to wear sporty shoes, sneakers, and bring a face towel for the forest hike.
Note: Kakum National Park can be skipped in favor of visiting Elmina Castle instead.
