Great guide, Wherever, great tour - We have just returned from a FABULOUS tour with Cherene, Driftwood Tours, Sunrise with the Kangaroos. Cherene communicates excellently in arranging, preparing and conducting her tour. She drives perfectly, is safety conscious, informative, helpful with an awesome, friendly personality. BTW she is an EXCELLENT photographer as well. Highly recommend Cherene and her agency. Doesn't get any better. Almost forgot, TERRIFIC sense of humor. Thanks a million Cherene for a great day. Australians must do this !! - I would highly recommend this activity to anyone, as a fellow Australian, I would encourage Aussies to try it out, too! The drive passed quickly. The sunrise was absolutely beautiful. The beach was stunning; there was plenty of time to watch the wallabies and kangaroos eat on the beach. Right now one of the wallabies has a baby in her pouch (adorable!). The park rangers were happy to answer any questions and were very knowledgeable and approachable. After this, we took a short 15 minute trek up to the lookout. We went after it had been raining, it was slippery but we were welcome to move at our own pace and umbrellas were provided. Our guide, Cherene, was exceptional. She ensured everyone felt comfortable and went out of her way to do so. She was very knowledgeable and respectful of the natural environment. Do not be discouraged by the early start time. Tip: bring insect repellant spray and be on time for your pickup !

Early morning kangaroo tour - Early outing but really worth it, just plan shoes rather than flip-flops because after the beach there is a small excursion to a viewpoint but the path is really rough, super guide, super friendly dynamic and full of knowledge 👍

Early morning with blankets! - Cherene was a caring and knowledgable guide. I felt really taken care of. The tour was well paced and her communications were clear. I can definitely recommend this tour! The neck pillow and blanket really eased the (very) early pick up!

Joeys in pouches - An early start, but absolutely worth it for this magical experience. Cherene was a fantastic guide—calm, capable, and safely navigated us through dense fog to our destination. Thoughtful touches like blankets and neck pillows made the journey extra comfortable. We arrived just in time for sunrise on a cloudy morning and were greeted by kangaroos and wallabies, some with joeys nestled in their pouches, peacefully roaming the beach. The photos came out brilliantly. Cherene shared interesting insights throughout the morning, striking a perfect balance between informative and relaxed. The ranger ensured respectful wildlife viewing, reminding everyone to keep their distance and switch off camera flashes to avoid startling the animals. Afterward, we had the option to walk up to the lookout or simply enjoy more time with the kangaroos on the beach. Breakfast was a lovely way to wrap up the morning. With just eight of us on the tour, it felt personal — and the cost was more than justified by the experience. This tour would suit anyone who loves kangaroos.
